It's a major help if you make it work for you ya dig? I would never have made the contacts I've made if it weren't for myspace. The crazy part for me is that when myspace first started to crack my page was on fire! 30,000 + friends and a shit load of hits daily but then I decided to step away from the game for a minute and deleted my page. Some folks thought I was crazy and my pastor thought I was being smart! jaja.. Anyhow, I was only hit ONE time by a lable at that time, which was Universal Latino who later said I wasn't Latin enough! jajaja. Now, I got back on, my page is all about music and not personal pleasure and I've been hit by more folks than I can count for hooks in both Spanish and English, purchasing my music, merchandise, shows and last but not least, several record companies and one who is really feelin' your boy but cant seem to make a decision as to what to do with my material. Now that's not to brag but just to show that it don't matter how many friends or song hits you average on the daily or how many chicks or doods you got commenting about you or your music! It's about the quality of your material and proffesionalism and your work ethic ya dig?
Log on and tell me how many cats you find that got 100,000 + friends and a zillion song hits and tell me why they can't get a deal if they crack the way they say they do? Drama, Beef, Lies, Fakeness and last but not least WHINNING!! You think lables or other artists don't see or read that stuff? Who would honestly wanna mess wit someone who got problems wit every other rapper, singer and critic on there?
So basically, keep it real and proffesional and hustle your page and music! I agree with someone on here who said to get some proffesional photos done, mixed down music and whatever else! Market your shit like its the next best thing mane and if noone comes lookin' it don't matter cause you can sell and reach anyone on this planet with your music through sites like myspace regardless!
