Crashing a chopper I have no idea how to fly with teammates to our deaths = funny as fuck. Every time.

I got good enough at flying where that doesn't happen anymore if I'm the pilot but every time I see a chopper full of people go down I always laugh.

is there any way you can practice that shit? like enter a private game with no one in it? (I remember on COD you could do that)

nah jus keep playin and try switchin the controls to southpaw for the chopper. helped me out (360)

Yeah BF3 doesn't have private servers that I know of on console so you just gotta keep practicing. And switching to southpaw definitely helps. Or you can try practicing on the second co-op mission but that still requires another person and you might not always be the pilot.

yes you can comrade, but in co-op not private.

if you go into one of the co-op missions, you can fly and the other gun is the heli gunner.

hold right trigger to elevate, then tilt forward to move, just straighten yourself out constantly or you'll nosedive into the ground. As long as you're looking forward and holding the button to elevate in a helicopter you won't crash, you're altitude will just keep increasing. if you look up/down too long or your helicopter ends up on it's side you're fucked.

just go into Operation Firestorm and take the carrier (Venom) helicopter, half the time people don't touch that one after the initial spawn.

Also hit r3 to go into third person perspective, it makes it easier to see which angle you're at.

U know u can parachute out any heli or jet to save yourself u just have to be high enough.

New maps are dope. Always loved Karkand, though.
Feels good playing on Wake Island and Sharqi again, too.
