Although EA has yet to officially detail the contents of the upcoming Battlefield 3 limited edition, this rather official-looking image has surfaced on Gamersmint. According to the poster, the LE version (all first-run copies of the game) will include "Back to Karkand" DLC "at no additional charge." The add-on includes four maps from Battlefield 2 "re-imagined with Frostbyte 2," the upcoming sequel's new engine, in addition to new Achievements/Trophies, unique rewards, and weapons from the previous title. Those that don't get the LE will be able to buy Karkand "approximately one month after the game's release."

I wonder whats new and improved in the Frostbyte 2 engine? Hopefully the movement is smother as forstbyte has always seemed slow and blocky to me.

Yeah, I'm playing rush on vietnam as we speak.. Hopefully with prone BF3 doesn't become a campfest. I know they're trying to rope in the cod crowd but hopefully they don't compromise the game too much to do that.

Already put my pre-order deposit on this game.
Battlefield 2, Bad Company and Bad Company 2 have all been dope.

Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread, but if you pre-order, you get free remakes of Battlefield 2 maps.

Agreed. Battlefield>COD for the most part in my opinion. I hope for Battlefield they've built some killstreak rewards into multiplayer gameplay for Battlefield 3.

the maps are bigger and you got vehicle combat, also now the graphics look fucking insane with bf3, if they get the balance right with guns (see carl gustav lol) it should be good.
