well all the best mexican food is obviously in old town, but thats authentic resteraunts. i guess its depending on what youre looking for. one of my favorite places was in south east in paridise hills a little east of meadowbrook apartments and skyline, they have two different types of guacamole, mexican and american...alot of the mexican places kinda have the same shit i look for places that have something a little new, yknow...

but yeah the california burrito i guess is a san diego thing, supposedly originated in ocean beach...and rolled tacos are different here than in la or in the bay
if youre ever in chula vista theres a place on palm ave next to lil ceasers that has bomb shrimp burritos they dont serve the same type of taco shop shit though, completely different menu the only thing they serve thats the same is carne asada burritos..even the tacos are different
