Baja Fresh?

well all the best mexican food is obviously in old town, but thats authentic resteraunts. i guess its depending on what youre looking for. one of my favorite places was in south east in paridise hills a little east of meadowbrook apartments and skyline, they have two different types of guacamole, mexican and american...alot of the mexican places kinda have the same shit i look for places that have something a little new, yknow...

but yeah the california burrito i guess is a san diego thing, supposedly originated in ocean beach...and rolled tacos are different here than in la or in the bay
if youre ever in chula vista theres a place on palm ave next to lil ceasers that has bomb shrimp burritos they dont serve the same type of taco shop shit though, completely different menu the only thing they serve thats the same is carne asada burritos..even the tacos are different

I live in old town and the best spot is Cafe Coyote. When i go to downtown i hit up Pokez that shit is bomb and you can crown your burritos for free. Its hippie with it. They also sell yerba mate tea
yeah I was saying about Baja Fresh... because I THOUGHT the shit was on the healthier side... since that's the image they put out with the name and everything
but after reading the shit Gas posted and lookin up nutritional info I can tell I was wrong...
although I'm sure it's still better than eating a burger from a fast food joint

I've been to Carolina's, is it the one by Sac City College?
There are like ten restaurants similar to Carolina's that are good, called Beto's, Adalberto's, Alberto's, El Forrestero and more.
Still, there's this place on U and 12th I think, called La Garnacha, that's a 24hr Mexican restaurant and it's way bomber than Carolinas or Betos. They've even got an Aztec Burger with beans, guacamole and chipotle in it! Fuckin bomb...

Baja fresh is nothing more then "gringo style" overpriced Mexican food. I mean I'd fuck with it as last resort, but I know too many taco shops in my area to spend more $$ at baja fresh to get Food that don't even taste half as good as something from my real Ese's!!! If u got FREE shit on the coupons fuck wit it, if not then I'd jus go spend the 5$ at the taco shop.
pokez is a type of place i take a hipster or someone who thinks theyre cool......anyone outside of that sort of 'subculture' can get annoyed in 30 seconds at pokez...im sure you know what i mean

its not mexican but theres a bar called the liars club in pacific beach and ....even though it has great beer and specials and food....the music is all like....punk rock and rock and shit that only people who think theyre cool know about....i guess places liek that annoy some people.
one think pokez is great for is vegetarian mexican food...they specialize in that...i like meat in my burritos personally but for other people theyre in heaven.
i used to eat at azteca alot at the old 12th and imperial stop before the stadium existed that was in the middle of the street on that island...you could buy weed, pills, food, sell drugs in there and theyd give you credit on food...lol
ive never seen better breakfast burritos, theyd give you two huge tortillas..and i mean huge!! and a container full of eggs, tomatoes, onions, cheese, beans, beef, and all those goodies...basically you made your burrto the size youw anted liek it was a blunt...shit was 3.50! 3 people could eat it easily.
thats why living in san diego is kind of nice on the food tip, you can save alot of money going to taco shops because of the big portions. sometimes i dont know how fast food places survive...
i rarely finish my mexican food...lol...i have half a chimichange still in the fridge i should have ate last night but it was too fucking huge
