man its the "billy beane moneyball" with only so much money the oakland athletics have to spend as opposed to other teams its nothin nice.. the way it works is they always develop young talent( or aging free agents in some cases ) and turn in em into solid ball players, future stars, then their stock rises and the A's cant afford to dump so much money into one player and they trade em away for other young talent to develop...... yes they still managed to succeed and win games, but that only works for soo long.. especially with Geren as HC.. fuckk it
