Also that member of ASAP that you don't get, is on the official remix of that Sicko Mobb song Fiesta, that I don't get. Thought you might want to hear it but you probably won't get it.

Listening to this (for 15 seconds, I can't stand it longer) makes the most disastrous aspect of this kind of hip-hop (and of modern pop music in general because that's where this comes from) fully crystallize right in front of my eyes.

Call me old-fashioned but this is the kind of singing, "melodies" and "songs" that you expect to hear from 7-year olds. Literally - just listen to some kid aimlessly messing around with singing and you will hear a similar level of musical sophistication.

What happened to actual music? It has been like that for a while, and as I said from above, in pop music in general, from where it has entered hip-hop. It used to be that the great soul, funk and R&B tradition was carried into modern times through hip-hop, and that hip-hop in turn had a great influence on pop music, which made the latter more tolerable. Then everything just flipped, and now hip-hop is in essence pop, and the latter went into complete mental retardation mode music-wise, with the corresponding disastrous consequences for hip-hop.
