There needs to be a major cultural shift. I think things are to blame like the "bling" and "cribs" era. Everyone buying stuff they don't need in record proportions. It was probably the same in the roarin' 20's too. Everyone having a great time, living beyond their means. This time was bad because we were pumping out 400-$900k loans to people that couldn't afford them on severly inflated property values. when reality struck, all those people were screwed forever or at least homeless. Especially the ones that lost their jobs, then couldn't afford the mortgage, then homeless.

That wasn't obama's fault by any means but the plan to fix it hasn't been great. I don't have the answers and it's a tough job to take on but it doesn't seem like he's doing a great job though either.

Sorry, Mr. Nice Guy it would be like the riots that popped off after MLK was assassinated. I think that's pretty destructive, but your right I need to have my terms right tearin this mutha up is a classification fit for only riots where the damage reaches above a trillion dollars, and more than 1,000 people die, not nine hundred and ninety nine, no siree it has to be at least a 1,000 people, oh and Delta Force has to come and pacify the rioters.

There would be mayhem if Obama was assassinated and it would spell certain doom for our country. No question. Our economy would plummet and it would only be a matter of time before someone took us to war on top of all the other problems we have. We'd be in serious trouble.

I don't like Obama but him being assassinated would be tragic and tragic for our nation

I don't agree with how Obama is spending, but the "we're already in debt so we should freeze spending" argument makes no sense to me. How are we magically going to get out of debt in our current state of affairs without spending? Its not like we live in a booming manufacturing and export economy. We don't produce anything to sell anyone. In my opinion we need to invest in an effort to make the our workers valuable internationally since our economy is more based in service now.
