Ya'll have some very good points.........
She IS garbage live. She sounded horrible when she sang at one of those music awards with Ja Rule, that shit had me rollin. Irv Gotti was on BET a while ago talkin bout that he told Ashanti to make a remake of the Mary song and that was his test and she sat down and came up with Baby. He was basicly sayin that not too many people can flip that song and make it sound good. He was givin her hella props!!!! LOL! Anyone can remake someone elses shit, thats simple. She only got a couple cool cuts on her album. This one called Rescue Me is cool. But overall.......she ain't shit. Alicia Keys is WAY more talented

I disagree The ONLY rnb Cd I ever copped was Ashanti and I liked it,I think she CAN sing,She IS fine and she DID deserve that award.
However your folks Deuce can't stand them other pretty boy ballers She runs with.Regardless of what folks say her bank account tell's the story...Plus I think she's a talented singer my ears don't pump blood like when i hear Alicia Keys or Amerie or whoever else you want to put in that league.
On the beats front though...That's on Irv Gotti him and his board exec's discuss all that shit behind closed doors shit has probably nothing to do with Ashanti....
