The Niner offense looked way better than it did last year. Alex Smith looked good. The inexperience of the offense showed with the fumbles, but other than that they are on their way to developing into a good offense.

Kwame Harris HAS TO GO!!

Gore was smashing looked really good until that fumble, Samy Davis dropped that interception key play in the game then on the next drive they got a first then scored, that was the key of us losing. Hope Jennings and Allen can get back into form for the next game.

Gore was impressive.....but so was anquan boldin. he was shreddin the 9er de. it was a good game tho. I'm really interested to see how the cardinals develop over the next couple years. these are 2 young teams with alot of talent (with most of the talent being on the cardinals ), I think they're gonna end up having some heated ass battles in a couple years.

The big thing is Alex Smith did a great job. He looked a lot more comfortable in there. No INTs, no fumbles, 288 yards, matched his TD total from last year LOL.. He'll get better as his career progresses, but the transition from his rookie year to this year is progressing as it should be. Hopefully he can keep it up.

That O-Line needs to stay healthy though. They already lost Newberry, they lost Allen early and then Jennings, but the makeshift line still did a decent job. But seriously though, Kwame Harris has got to go. That 51 yard bomb to Antonio Bryant was sweet, but of course it had to get reversed due to Kwame's usual holding call. Dude is ass.

And it's obvious our weak point on D is pass rush. To the naked eye it would seem the secondary was getting shredded, but look how long Kurt Warner had to pass. Shit was ridiculous. Any secondary will get shredded with that receiving tandum if they don't pressure the damn QB and force them to throw earlier. No DBs can hold coverage forever.

I'll give credit where credit is due... Alex Smith looks much better and so does the 49er offense. Your defense is still boo-boo but offensively, you guys look much better.

about that Kwame Harris play, I was all over him too because of his history with getting flag, but here are some quotes that realy show the whole story...

I was real impressed with Kwame, I thought he played his best game. The so called hold was a bad call, just like the no call against Gore in the endzone. The refs made their fair share of bad calls as usual. That being said I thought we played one of our best games as far as not creating penalties.
I'm a big Snyder fan but Kwame showed he deserves to continue starting for now besides Snyder is going to be needed on the left side.

I am not a big K. Harris fan but overall he played well. The play in question came at a bad time but those things can happen. Plus, if you watched the game you should have noticed how dominating he was in run blocking. Pushing his man or in some cases men 4 to 5 yards deep on many occasions.

If Kwame didn't hold on that play, Alex Smith would have been sacked. Kwame was falling backwards and did the only thing left to do, which was drag the pass rusher down with him and hope the ref doesn't see it. Otherwise, he's putting his QB at risk.

Believe me, I've done my share of Kwame Harris bashing, but this is definitely unwarranted and I'll stand up for him on this one.

LG Larry Allen sprained his left knee and LT Jonas Jennings departed the game with a right ankle sprain. Jennings later returned to the game.

According to Roger Phillips of Inside Bay Area, neither player is expected to play in the team's home opener against the St. Louis Rams next week. Both are listed as doubtful.

Tony Wragge looks to be Allen's replacement for next week. Wragge played almost the whole game today after Allen left. Adam Snyder is Jennings' likely replacement.

TE Vernon Davis suffered a bruised hip during the game but later returned to the lineup. His injury is not believed to be serious.

Some motivation for the next time these two teams meet

CB Antrel Rolle had some interesting comments after the game. "Coming down to a Hail Mary at the end, there’s no way it should have been that close. It should have been a 40-to-nothing game. … Misdirection, a lot of trick plays, a lot of throwbacks. We knew they were going to go out and do that, because they couldn’t beat us just playing straight-up football," said Rolle.

It gained yards dunno whats so funny.... also Antrell Rolle is a dumbass for that statement football is football, and if you think trickery is bad then his ass gets tricked too much lol and thats his weakness, he didnt even have that good of a game to be talking shit like this.

The Oline should be fine some of the backups have been playing in the european league and made it to the championships there so you know there ready to do some hittin in the trenches.
