There was some guy on the radio the other day sayin its a possibility. The plaintiff list is only gonna grow and if they lose, its gonna cost them billions in back money as well as billions to.implement a better health care system for the people who weren't in on the lawsuit.

I dont think its the downfall, and I dont think the NFL is going to fall off the map or anything like that. But I would say the lawsuits are a much bigger deal then they would have you believe. There a good chance this could take a big bite out of the NFL, and theyre response to the safety concerns may be to over regulate the game, more rules/less violence could = less viewership/sponsorship/etc...What Im getting at is football isnt going to go away, but I wouldnt be suprised if it slipped out of popularity, and as it slips other sports are gaining ground, hockey and lacrosse are building in popularity. There was a time baseballe was the untouchable #1 sport at one time also, times change.

People say taking the violence out of the sport will decrease popularity, but let's be real... With fantasy football being so popular and people wanting to see quarterbacks air the ball out all over the field, a lot of fans might even like football more. I'm not saying I agree with this, but it is what it is. A lot of your casual/newer football fans don't wanna see that smash mouth defensive football, they wanna see drew brees and Aaron Rodgers throwing 50 yard bombs down the field
