Instead he was a bicurious rich kid / primadonna who flipped out when he got hands put on him.

i wish you could see your post through anothers eyes and see how stupid you sound, you keep bringing up "this lil rich boy, that lil rich boy, hes being a bitch" who the fuck cares, next time you act like a bitch your getting tased, and im gonna make countless posts defending the police. after all they do have tough jobs, lol, and prolly did it because "they go through adrenaline rushs all the time from being in potentially harmfull situations" especially when the kids outnumbered, and the kids in your words "a rich little bitch". the point is, that could have potentially killed him, is his life really worth his offense?no it is not. and what was it that made him a little bitch anyways? making all the noise and shit when they grabbed him? like you said, hes prolly never been manhandled or grabbed by police before, i bet your first time you freaked out too. anyways, despite your attempt to make is seem laughable that we are heading towards a police state, i must say im willing to bet you haven't seen even the documentary's out there about new york. there is an air balloon that circles around and can see most everything people do, cops are standing around everywhere with machine rifles, there are secret cops running around taking pictures of the protesters, i mean common now, that shit is gonna be in every major city soon is what they said. go look into this shit before trying to make others look dumb

That does sound kinda funny

lmao

the point is, that could have potentially killed him, is his life really worth his offense?no it is not.
No, but he wasnt on coke, meth, or PCP, didnt have chronic heart problems, didnt have a pacemaker, and was not pregnant, and thus he is fine.

anyways, despite your attempt to make is seem laughable that we are heading towards a police state, i must say im willing to bet you haven't seen even the documentary's out there about new york. there is an air balloon that circles around and can see most everything people do, cops are standing around everywhere with machine rifles, there are secret cops running around taking pictures of the protesters, i mean common now, that shit is gonna be in every major city soon is what they said. go look into this shit before trying to make others look dumb
I would expect them to have increased security in New York.

Do I think we will have troops with M16s roaming the streets in Frisco...I really fuckin highly doubt it. And if they wanted to, they could just put them in unmarked vehicles anyways.

And who gives a fuck if they take pictures of some protestors?

Finally, what has your increased awareness about new york surveillance done for you? How has it affected your life besides putting off your parent-funded college studies while you smoke blunts and increase your awarness about "the man" and "the system"? We live in a relatively free country, and regardless of whatever people say about whatever percieved obstacles it is still a blessing and we are lucky to be here.

true, thats because me and you have dealt with police more often. Im not gonna lie tho, i did laugh when they first grabed him and he started saying "theyre gonna kill me!!" "ask about me!!" LOL. i still dont think they should have tased him but he was bein a lil over dramatic though..

good point white devil, maybe the kid wasnt on a pacemaker, or doing things to stimulate his heart, but did they ask you think? no, they dont care, they just love them damn tasers.

lol @ my parent funded college, if your so much of a loser in life that your parents had to pay for your community college, thats cool, but i pay for the shit myself, lol

and when did i act like it was just happening? i just watched a video on it which i had in mind when i posted, but then again, its just another little thing to belittle my post.

anyways, i totally agree, tasering a "rich white kid who acts like a bitch" is the perfect way to get the public to fear cops, BRILLIANT statement. lmao

see it isnt a police state because a kid got tased, and i doubt people fear cops anymore because of it. this isnt about that kid. its about cameras everywhere, cops given extended power, blah blah blah, and yes, its been happening for awhile (there have been cameras in my small ass city for awhile now) but this thread hasnt, and since this thread is right now, i was giving recent examples, that i seen posted in either this forum or another so i know people have heard

People like to blow shit out of proportion to fit their paradigm.

I think about 90% of cops are alcoholics, because everything else is illegal and like white devil said, they do see some crazy shit day in, day out, but that does not excuse any unneccessary ego trip/power trip behavior that they have always displayed....but i could go on forever explaining the psychology of cops....

but although i am related and close with a cop, i agree completely with 2-0-Sixx, our rights, as adults are slowly torn from us from an early age, we are told a bunch of bullshit in elementary school about being free, in middle school about having rights, and in high school about the "great democratic" society we live in, and once you get out of that time called youth, are wrongly accused, and charged, you are guilty until proven innocent and our basic rights are constantly being questioned....

i am not afraid of cops, but then on the other note, there are plenty of reasons to be afraid, and i guess i better learn that fear before i get caught up...since thats all cops really want, is to assert their power over someone else that they usually wouldn't have power over..

I wouldn't use him as a poster boy for police brutality but look, this thread isn't about that one particular incident. If you want better examples look into that pregnant lady that got tased on her wedding day and lost the baby all because the music was too loud, look into the lady that got polled over and argued with the cops for 7 seconds before getting tased, look into the thousands of protesters that were imprisoned for peacefully protesting the republican and democrat conventions, etc., etc., etc.

It's common place these days and you're attitude regarding the rich kid from the burbs shows just how normal this shit has become. Is it really EVER ok to send 50,000 volts through someones body who is not threatening anyone else's life? Couldn't they just drag his ass off? Hand Cuff him? Even pepper spray?
Thank You...
Not to say that the police, or those of "higher authority," haven't violated our rights before, I'm just finding it more commonplace lately since the Bush administration has been in power. I'm not using that just an excuse since there are more factors than his dumb-ass could come up with...Just as some sort of a vague timeline. Speaking out against injustice or making facts known in public seems to earn u a beating that was once thought of to be protected by the Bill of Rights. Once again, I'm not saying that shit like this hasn't been going on b4 or even been worse, but that it is still happening today under the circumstances that its been happening seems troubling to me. If they could do these sorts of things to pregnant white women, it makes me wonder what they'll do to me as a young Black male. Aren't we supposed to be moving forward as a society?

we? hmmmmm, there are people making moves and people who dont. the people who make moves are moving forward with their agendas, the people who expect shit to be fed to them like a baby are in the same spot, crying like a baby, and not doing shit for themselves but wahh wahhh. all the people on here bitching about shit at the end of the day really dont do shit about it, seems fair to me, more than fair actually. you want power? go build a dynasty and get your son or wife elected.
lol
Sure buddy because those that take a stand really have a chance at the end of the day. Your playing against a stacked line, when the media is at your disposal it's easy to pursue your agenda.

take a stand against what? a chance at what? how did the line get so stacked? because people like you have been saying the same shit since the beginning. "we cant do it" and then you wonder why your rights are eroding, while it makes perfect sense, you are not willing to fight for them or do shit about it, so you dont deserve them. you are self defeating, the perfect citizen lol.

well seeing that the first step is thinking about it, then talking, then gathering others, then attempting action, then affirming action, then a revolution-like change....we as united states americans are still in the talking, gathering, and attempting stages...but there is not ENOUGH people yet, for the rest of the stages....

and with the good ol' media giving the citizens of this country the most bullshit fed stories, its hard to get more people for truth...

its a hard situation...and a lot of people are giving up unfortunately....

well, i kno that i would be willing to engage in a revolution, but first, like what Rekomstop said, is that we still have to talk and plan everything out. Ithink that we should point out all the problems that we are facing because of the gov., at least the major ones. And you're right too, Smith, that we do have enough people, but that their passion is lacking. There are plenty of Things that do need to change, especially in this day and age, though.

Nhojsmith is right, the passion is lacking amongst these people who want to make a change. Why is that? Because they'd have to sacrifice some of their normal day life activities(myspace, siccness.net...etc). I believe they're secretly content with their living status in the US, unless of course they're from a drug ridden neighborhood.

If it wasn't for the person getting this Andrew Meyer kid on tape, we would have to get the medias version. Thankfully we can make up our own minds although we still have come to many conclusions.

I think WHITE DEVIL is focusing too much on the kids resistance to the police. Did they have any right to take him away in the first place. What about freedom of speech? Maybe you don't agree with it but let the man ask the fucking question.

Don't ever let cops off. These pigs are the ones enforcing the states rise towards totalitarianism. They follow orders and don't make conscious decisions and are therefore sub human imo although not all are.

nhojsmith is right about people lacking the initiative. I don't blame the people, however. We have been degraded and reduced to servants in this society.

Alright, now I'm gonna expand with a thread of my own.
