Anyone pre-order a Wii today?

come on dog, its a FACT the gamecube has a more advanced processor than the PS2. maybe certain developers did a better job than others at harnessing each respective system's capabilities, but to say that the PS2 has better graphical capabilities than the GC is just plain incorrect.

The graphics in this game are nice. Of course, they cannot compare to the ones on the Gamecube. The Gamecube is a more poweful system than the Playstation 2, so the graphics are going to look better.
now i'm not gonna get into a whole sony vs. nintendo war like it looks like you and home-e are having, but i find it very ironic that you come down on home-e for his STRONG OPINIONS when you do the same on this board on a regular basis. i know you "get paid to argue on the internet at work" and all, but i can't help but find it funny that you're coming down on him for something that you yourself do. i mean its obvious he's a nintendo fanboy, but all he's doing is stating his opinions (like you do about sony).
and for the record i'll ultimately end up having both systems and actually waiting (like you) to grab the second generation models (basically b/c i didnt get up early enough to wait in line for preorders)

i just think its funny that you guys are arguing things are pretty much common knowledge among 99% of gamers...even the most hardcore nintendo fan has gotta know that the gamecube is marketed towards a younger audience. i dont care how many M games they have. i bet they have 3 times as many games geared towards kids than any other system.
This board seems to have quite a lot of Sony Fanboys.
PS2 had just as many Kiddy games, if not more, than Gamecube, simply because it had more games overall.
Nintendo markets toward a more casual gamer, not neccessarily a younger gamer.

And to be honest, hating one brand is just stupid, all 3 systems have great games, and are all worthy of a purchase, it's just the PS3 is too damn expensive for now.

Percentage wise...it seems GC had more(can i prove this?It would take a long time and effort..maybe i wil later...but yes)...

No is disputing that fact...what we ARE disputing...is the fact that it wasnt UTILIZED....pull out review magazines...games like Madden and other EB sport games(just as an example)...it ALWAYS talked about XBOx graphs first...then PS2...then GC....

I agree...although i refuse to by the 360 due to backwards compaitibility issues(or lack-there-of)...
And like i said...youre getting a Blu-Ray disc player for HALF the price of a stand alone...that is ALSO the best next gen console(guts wise)....is that worth it IF you are planning on getting a Blu-Ray disc player???You bet your fuckin ass it is....thats how you have to look at it....
Like i said...i OWNED a GC...and some of the exclusive titles were dope(see RE 4)....but i mainly got it to play GBA games on my TV(i had got rid of my GBA for a DS)....i currently own 0 gaming consoles cus i got bored...but i WILL be purchasing a Wii($250 is one hell of a price) AND a PS3....but the 360 can kiss my ass....

Sure, I'll pay an extra $200 for a Blu-ray player, don't worry about the fact that I, like many people, don't own an HDTV, so it won't do anything at all for me, and it won't be used at all. Don't even bother saying larger games, as it's not really larger, just uncompressed. If Oblivion can fit on a regular DVD, I doubt any game will have a problem fitting on it, not that I would even mind changing discs, I did it for the Gamecube...

When the Wii was originally called the Revolution...it looked as if it only had some funky wand and button thing for the controller...to me...that was retarded...MY OPINION....and waving a wand like a fuckin magician just didnt spark any interest for me to buy it....but as i found it that it offered more...INCLUDING an "emulator" that lets you play the ENTIRE NES/SNES,Genisis & Saturn catalog...i was sold..THAT is worth the $250 pricetag all on its own....
