Anyone picking up the XBOX Elite?

im not pickin it up cus i already got a premium one. i got 20 gig harddrive and used maybe 4 of those gigs which are from demos. so no need for 120 gigs. also i play on a old tube tv, so no need for hdmi. hdmi is ONLY good for hdtv with hdmi ports and 1080p resolution and over 40 inches. other then that 720p looks just as good.
and the new hard drive will be fine. all it is, is a laptop hard drive in a case with a waire that makes it plug into the xbox. the hdmi port shouldnt be that big of a deal. and i dont think microsoft will fuck up this console after what happend with the first 360's. they are in no time rush this time to have a global launch deadline.

nah. You can already mod PC SATA HDD's to get bigger Hard drives and I can always get a black case on ebay. So I wouldnt pay that muchmore for an HDMI port. The only way I would have even thought about buying this is if it came packaged with the HD DVD drive. $500 for an HDMI port and a bigger hard drive is nonsense.
I think itll be fine. I mean, technically, this IS the second instalment of the XBox 360...thats how i see it anyhow. I doubt any problems should arise from a HDMI port and a bigger HD.

they dont wnat to force a unproven format on you. what if blu-ray loses and then you got a ps3 that plays blu-ray discs that they dont make new movies on any more? your stuck with a obsolete technology. same goes if hd-dvd loses, then you got a xbox that plays hd-dvd's that they no longer manufacturer.

yeah well back in the 80's you bought porn on a video cassette OR..................nothing. So maybe people went VHS since betamax didnt have porn. but seriously, who buys porn on DVD these days when you can get it on the net?
Besides, more than porn watchers push the market anyway. I would never base my purchase of a format over whether I can get porn on it or not. An dmost peopel dont either.

Elite only good if you dont already have a xbox premium or if you download a lot of arcade games and movies off of xbox marketplace. Porn is what having ur xbox 360 connected to ur pc is for. Why buy blu ray porn when you have ur computer files for free. Right now xbox is kicking the shit game wise out of ps3 they need to start putting out some better ps3 exclusive games cuz if there on both system im getting it on xbox 1. more patches 2. more x packs for online games 3. Linking ur ipod to ur xbox and lisening to ur music well kicking ass.
Media center is the shit i watch movies off my computer on my tv all the time now. So simple to do. Why is ps3 lacking so much of the online shit xbox has. And if the only reason you have a ps3 is for blu ray what does that say about the games they are puting out. The console that is going to be worth having is the one that can attracked the best video game producers. And bring the best major franchise to there system and sony is just takeing the sweet ass time. Thats why my ps3 is sitting there being the most expensive paper weight ever.
