The Non-Profit will be a Hip-Hop based business that will throw events to consistently raise money for youth arts charities.

The LLC will be a for-profit Hip-Hop based business that will throw events for money. We will also provide promotional services to record labels, run a dj pool and sell Hip Hop products. These are the goals, but I will be starting this well after the Non-Profit gets underway.

I would like to have my own company(ies), yes. I can't depend on a crazy industry like radio to have my back and I need to be able to pick up my business and move it wherever I have to move to. This is the perfect answer to that complex equation. I'll set up shop here...have a few people on deck and let them run it while I oversee from my next city, where I'll start another branch. When that happens, I'll have to incorporate.

I guess i never understood how "non-profit" really worked...maybe im just greedy...but if i start a business...im makin money....end of story...
No one ever makes quick bread when your self-owned. If you already got $$$ then no problem... but you see most of your cash go down quickly. Most start with loans/credit and end up paying that shit back... plus the many expenses of runnin a business = no money at the end of the year. My folks didnt see a profit until 3 years into debt/no extra income...

I think most are in it for the independence.
