A nice Ecko shirt and baggy jeans is not propper dress attire for most bars. I know many that don't even let people in with any kind of brand name on the front like Ecko, Shady, Gunit, etc...

Cactus Cafe has a right to turn people away and they should turn a lot more people away than they do....some of the shit that goes down in there is crazy. They fucks with you there. I've been fucked with. I wore my customary button down shirt with a tshirt over it with the tail hanging out. Guy tells me to tuck in BOTH shirts and put my hat on straight....i guess i had my hat tilted 1/4 inch to the right. So fuck them, I'm with you on that. It is fun once you get in though....i wont deny it.

I really think westport is trying to clean up their image. Last time I was at cactus they patted everyone down.....and checked bitches purses.

You can't really tell. I mean, I would have to believe that at least 50% of the problem is their race. I have seen some of the same shit happen out here by me. Not in the city but in the suburbs yeah. I will be wearing nearly the same shit as my black friends and they can't get in because their shit is too baggy. Haha, I find it funny. As I mentioned before, I'm a white dude and I myself have been turned away many times for the bagginess of my appareal. One time out at Lucky's on Shawnee Mission Parkway me and a few boys of mine were told we couldn't come in cuz we didn't have on a collared shirt. That night I had on like some nice ass $80 shirt from Bachrach or some shit that I had just bought and they still wouldn't let me in. Now everytime I get into one of those situations I just tell'em....I might pull out a weapon, whether or not my pants are baggy or my shirt has a collar ain't gonna make a difference. :dead:

STORY:


Ok, me and 6 friends roll up to this shed in hick ass Grain Valley saturday night. We were hanging out in Independence that night and instead of just rolling down to the usual westport spots...someone says..."let's goto mardi gras". I'm skeptical from the jump. I just wasn't into going to any bar in Grain Valley.

So we have a few drinks at our friend's place, I finish my 22 of Bud Ice and we roll out there. We get there around 12:30 and there is about 30 people in this fucking shithole. You know when you roll up and you're rolling with about 1/4 of the patrons at a bar......it's bad news. My friends start ordering red bull and vodka at $6.50 a pop for a little 8 oz cup. I choose 151 and coke for $3.50. So we are just chillin for about a hour. People start to roll in after around 1:15. And it isn't as gay as it first was. Then all of a sudden a bouncer comes up to me and 2 of my friends and says.... "you guys are cut off, give me your hands so i can put an X on them". Now....upto this point...i had ordered 2 drinks from the bar...and my friend had just got me a beer. 3 drinks in about an hour....nothing crazy...especially when the fucking drinks are 8 oz. Anyway, we proceed to ask why we have been cut off and the guy says he doesn't know and doesn't care, it's what the bartender requested. So the guy marks up our hands by putting this huge X on both hands. At least he let us keep the drinks we just ordered. So we go back up to the bar and ask why we have been cut off. And this bitch tells us we haven't been tipping enough. I found this completly funny because i gave her $3 on my first 2 drinks and she was set to make about 12 to 15 off me in just tips, but I guess the guy who just ordered these 3 beers didnt tip her at all so she put it on the rest of us. We were probablly the 3 most sober guys in our group. The rest of the guys were totally sauced up. One guy was almost passed out. If anything they should have been cut off. So we try to plead our case to the bartender, asked to see a manager, there wasn't one...convienently....and even talked to head of security, but he said it was on the bartenders. So we sit there and milk these beers we just got and 30 mins later 2 bouncers come up to us and tell us we have to leave because we were having other people get us drinks. I told one dude to hold my warm ass beer while I go piss before we leave. And then I proceeded to piss all over the floor in the bathroom. We rounded up the troops and left, only to be met by 4 cop cars outside who were right on top of us as we walked out yelling and talking shit about the club. One guy in our group said something about coming back and burning the place down and the cop wanted to arrest him for a terrorist threat. So here we are trying to get the cop to understand what happened but he didnt want to hear anything of it, finally let our friend go and then him and his boys rolled out. Which I thought was really odd and I started suggesting that they left to go post up down the road to wait for us to leave and roll us for DWI's. So we end up sitting there for another 20 mins in the parking lot and waited for a group of people to come out of the club and rolled out behind them. No cops in sight and we went back to independence.....where I proceeded to take 3 guys' money in a $20 4 header holdem game.

SO YEAH.....don't goto that white trash, hick ass bar ever.
