^^^ Good looking out Psilo.

The show here in Seattle sold out in under a minute. People were camped out at ticketmasters so my homie tried online and still couldn't get it. We have a couple ticket connects so we are going to see if they got anything.

Anyway you can up the Salival songs and the other live cuts? The one I'd really like to hear is PUSHIT Live.....That's probably my favorite Tool song.....

Wow, that No Quarter is AMAZING......
Yeah that song is sick. Once again good looking out Psilo.

They said today on 107.7 the End that Tool tickets for at the Paramount (4,000 seats) sold out at a reported 37 seconds. That is fucking insane. They are going for between $300-$750.00 a piece on Ebay. Oh well...I guess I'll have to catch them on the stadium tour.

Okay...okay. So I haven't broken down and downloaded the cd or anything but...

...I was on a myspace profile and the had the song "The Pot" on there and I let it load (couldn't help it) and all I can say is that song is sick as fuck. Maynards voices sounds like his normal one so I am taking it the kind of scruffy voice on "Vicarious" was only for that song. His vocals on "The Pot" are seriouslly fucking amazing. Adam's guitar work is fucking off the hook too. While I am digging "Vicarious" alot "The Pot" blows it out of the fucking water.

I am not going to listen to anything else off the album till it comes out though.

Have you guys been reading all the fuckin' conspiracy theories about this album and how the leak may be a hoax and shit? It's interesting but I think people have just lost their minds.......

^^^ I was just reading about "decoy copies" and the such on a myspace message board. People are seriously going crazy I think lol.

If "Vicarious" and "The Pot" are decoys (which I don't believe) then they are the best fucking decoys I have ever heard (not that I have ever heard any before lol.)

^^^ I don't know homie lol.

Maybe it's all one big joke and there is no "real" album. Just this so called decoy that got leaked.

I thought I was a HUGE Tool fan but after reading some of the posts on Tool message boards and groups on myspace I'm going to say I am maybe slightly above average lol. Some people are really, really, really obsessed with them.

Damn...I am weak lol.

I ended up listening to the other two songs on the myspace site ("Right in Two" and "Rosetta Stoned".)

All I got to say anyone who is complaining on any of the boards...I have no fucking clue why they are. I have now heard 4 of 11 (or of 10 seeing @ 1:11 long "Lipan Conjuring" is most likely a interlude) and all 4 of them have been sick as fuck. "Rosetta Stoned" was the most different...they are all different then usual in one way or another but they are Tool for sure. "Rosetta Stoned" is one fucking heavy song...and features a voice box...who would have known? "Right in Two" starts out slow but damn it gets heavy within that 8:56 minutes. Out of the four I would say "The Pot" is my favorite with "Right in Two" really close behind and then "Vicarious" and last (but far from least) "Rosetta Stoned." "Rosetta Stoned" sounds like a song you need to blast over a system and not crappy computer speakers to get a full feel for though.

Okay well now I have 6 more songs (7 if "Lipan Conjuring isn't a interlude) that will be totally new to me. No more for me until May 2nd...well I'm going midnight Monday...whatever. But you better believe I am going to be soaking in those 4 songs between now and then.

Psilo and Cranky please forgive me for my weakness lol.

So weeeeeeaaaaaak and powerless.........You fell victim to the temptation, and I completely understand. I want to hear this album so fuckin' bad.....Hopefully I can abstain.....

From what you've heard, will this album hold up to the previously released albums? Will it be a classic that you listen to for years?

I have only bumped it over my computer, I am waiting to get the full experience when I have the album in my hands. I just listened to "Right in Two" again and now I think I like it more than "The Pot" so my favorites are already switching around with each listen if that tells you anything lol. They def. have classic written all over them IMO. Plus alot of people on the other sites that have heard the whole thing are saying that "Wings For Marie (Pt 1)" and "10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2)" are the best songs. So that means I haven't even heard the best in alot of their opinions. I would easily give both "The Pot" and "Right in Two" 5/5. I'd give "Vicarious" a 4/5 and for "Rosetta Stoned" I'd give a 3.5/5 for now...but like I said with that song I think you really would need to hear it on a system...I think if you heard it on your computer you would understand why.

So far not a single song has let me down at all. I am also not one of these people that are going to say they liked a song just because they are a big fan of the group/artist. For example, I am a big Mars Volta fan and while it was a good cd Frances the Mute was a step back IMO from De-Loused.

So far so good Cranky...I honestly don't think you will be let down one bit.

Stay strong my brother lol. You can make it with out giving in. Atleast I didn't cave all the way though.

Damn was offline for a couple days, back now, np for the upload. I forgot Salival though, haha whoops.. here it is:

Salival

The conspiracy thing.. yeah thats going around the Tool forums too. But im almost positive its going to be the real cd. but i WISH it was released as a fully 2nd new cd.. that would go down in the history books.. no ones ever done that i dont think.

& Mars Volta is the shit, their new album coming out later this year is like my most anticipated rock CD right now (now that tool is basically out). I thought Frances the mute had potential when the music was actually playing, but overall it was a waste of time for me because of half of it being ambient experimental CRAP. haha.. DeLoused was the shit, Id give that CD a 9/10 easily. I hear on their next album, its going to be more constant hard songs.. like deloused.. no more crap.

Good shit on that info Psilo...I didn't know that. Don't get me wrong I am a HUGE Mars Volta fan (At the Drive-In as well) and I thought Frances the Mute was a great album...it was just a step back from De-Loused IMO. Funny enough I am a fan of ambient experimental music (i.e Sigur Ros) but I know what you are talking about on Frances...it just didn't sound right. Good to know they are getting back to a more De-Loused format. Was there any speculation on a release date? I would guess most likely 2nd-3rd quarter 2007.

About the conspiracy theories:

Yeah I was reading some shit on toolnavy (they finally open registration and I registered under the name "Vecuronium") and they were talking about it being a dual disc or single disc with two sides of music and the leak was just one of them. Again, it's interesting stuff and it would be cool as fuck if they pulled it off, but it just seems way too unlikely......
