I don't mean 70s go go dancer shit, it's call and response drum based DC music. And funny that gas made a reference to the wire, the cat that played slim Charles is the front man for the back yard band. Check 'em out.

gogo is from DC not baltimore, they listen to Baltimore club music in B-more. Gogo is cool sometimes, my DC nigga be playin that shit all the time though.

Yeah, folks listen to go go in Baltimore too tho.

LMAO at the responses tho, kinda figured this is where the thread would go. People feel the same way about that Hyphy shit while most of the bay was all about it, now folks in the bay wanna say they aint wit that Hyphy shit no more, but Maryland and DC cats is still doin that go go.

go-go is some DC shit. I had no idea about it til I got here. It's basically some island type music (drum heavy) and they mash up a lot of popular rap songs too. The shows here are wild as fuck, and most rappers wont perform with go-go bands because they'll get boo'd off stage until the go-go band comes back on. The only out of town rappers I know that do shows with Go-Go bands are/were Devin The Dude and UGK, maybe Wu-Tang too.
