Not really a copout. Just more of an example of how people selectively see and hear what they want to. Black people see all the racist black shit...mexicans see all the racist mexican shit...white people see all the racist white shit. In the end it still comes down to people stereotyping and casting a blind eye as long as it doesn't effect their particular race.
thats untrue and a generalization...
i'm white, and i have seen and heard and been open to racist gestures, actions, and words...and i do realize when people are becoming ignorant and really have no other argument other than stereotypes that are just ridiculous to account for in an argument about something like immigration...

yet, i do understand where this generalization comes from, since i did grow up watching every shutting up when a white kid made fun of someone else fopr their race, but i've never shutup, and i do say everything i say on here in real life cause im not some pussy and i stand up for what i believe in

i think when someone makes a joke to deliberately make fun of one race then i believe they are attempting to degrade them, its a lot slower, but not there is not as much retaliation, since it is "just a joke"...
for example if you make fun of blondes and how stupid they are, then after awhile if you see a group of girls that are blondes(lets say natural blondes, not the fake ones), your going to start thinking that they are probably dingy and slow...its just a stupid stereotype and it really doesn't cause that many problems, but when people make jokes about "illegal" immigrants, then ignorant people start to make generalizations and not very wise decisions that are not based on facts per say but mostly other people's opinions and jokes, and assumptions...

i know but the guy that came from L.A. he was one of the originales...
i can't remember his name for the life of me tho, i talked to him for a couple of minutes but he was not in good shape, he had bad arthritis and barely could walk, and he just looked tired, but he still walked over to me and my friend and my boyfriend at the time, cause shes black, i'm white, and my ex is mexican, and we are all still good friends and he said "this, this right here, this love is what i've been fighting for my whole life" and being infront of a crowd and being hugged by him brought me to tears...

That's David Rico. I'm sure he's cool and all, but that motherfucker gets on my last nerves. Some motherfuckers act like the own the movimiento, when they should just be on the humble about it.

I was standing outside smoking a cigarette at work today talking with a couple of Mexican guys that get their tattoos done next door... A guy pulls up, and is on his phone, we pay him no mind... They go back inside, the guy gets out of his car....

"Askin' you for money?"

"What?"

"They wanted money didn't they? I'm sick of the minorities that kee- "Man, keep it to yourself."

I was really irritated that the guy just assumed that because I'm in the midwest, I was going to take his side on some shit. It seems like people here look for a reason to bitch about them not getting their high school diplomas...

don't blame the illegals for your brothers' loss. if he was a hard working man his employer would've kept him. i'm sure there's other reasons behind this little situation.
u know that is bullshit too... because shit if you can pay someone half the money u can pay someone else to do the same job same effort and everything i guarantee you youd do it...
