lol, who am i harming, and how can i show you that prayer works when you know nothing about it? thats like you showing me on paper how an atomic bomb works, or the most complicated math problems, if i understand nothing thats on the paper i have to call bullshit, or take your word for it.

can you show it to me, if I knew everything about it?

I don't think so, to believe that prayer works requires you to be blind to all reason and evidence, which is independent of whether you know nothing about prayer. I am not blind to the evidence

atomic bombs are simple, everybody should be able to understand the mechanism

This is fine, but then what is the TRUE difference between those people and say the people that thought david Koresh (sp?) was a messiah?

Just because people can say they knew/met him does not mean their word is more valid.

tell an atheist that asians can fly, or that ice tea contains mashed up pieces of bull testicals, and he will require as much proof as the next man.
tell him/her that a big bang happened that made everything that is life as we know it, while this is less likely than a hurricane hitting a junk yard and making a functional boing 747 plane, and an explosion on a paint factory making a comprehensive novel combined. all he knows is that prayer doesnt work, so there is no creator.

I am not sure if you made this off the top of your head or what, but the big bang theory is actually something that has been studied, researched, and has evidence backing up claims.
