i could understand lil rob getting airplay on wild 94.9 since hes on a san jose record label but knightowl? hes a big chicano rapper but hes not on a major label so that shit is crazy. the bay and valley rappers need to figure out a way to get on the radio because I know theres better shit out there than Clipse, lil rob, and ja rule. i dont think young droop has radio appeal but i think some of woodies songs do like Norte Sidin, or Northern Cali Dippin.

In my opinion 18 wit a bullet was one of the best albums that ever came out. In addition only about 8 of the people on that album were Nortenos the rest were bays, crips and bloods. I agree with you on the fact that DRF is kinda wack but I think those artists you named above are just as wack. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on some of Woodies music , the killa sharks, Lowdown, Shadow, Speedy locs, Ghetto line records, JuJu, Kasper. My opinion isn't biased by the fact that I'm from the North. Before any "Norteno" rappers ever stepped up most of what I listened to was Chicano rap ie. frost, alt, slow pain, lsd, lil rob, cypress hill, duece mob, proper dos, mr lil one so I'm not speaking about music I've never heard before. They got some tight shit with the exception of lil rob even his first album the one that was on "Brown Market" records lol, you know the one where he re-did " had to gat ya" sucked balls. But I have yet to hear a sureno rapper that could even say that they have the same musical and lyrical ability that woodie, lil los, and shadow got.

A-wax , Hollow-tip, Mr.Kee, RBL, Mac dre, Killa tay and the jacka aint NORTE.. they all almost have had radio play and drop heat for everyone.. they all expand there gift of rap to everyone.. Thats what it takes to get radio play.. you need to be open to ideas and not focus on one type of fan.. I'm not hating on people that are doing there own thign for there own reason, but they aint going to get as far as someone that is willing to go out and network...
