alright man, I saw these pics of Tech lookin like a damn voodoo witch doctor and all on his website.

And well...



I think he should cool out with the face paint until he's already gold or something. Im a big punk rock fan and got no problem with what Tech does with his face/hair, but if he wants to be accepted by a wider audience; tone down the image... at least for now. Shit, Ive spiked my hair for part of my life at least once a year since I was 14... and now im 19. I got nothing against it. But the MAIN reason people dont give his music a chance is the facepaint and spiked hair. Im a caucasion man, but it kind of dissapoints me going to all these Tech concerts and not seeing more than 5 black people at any single one. Bottom line is I say Aaron's music would reach more people if it weren't for the facepaint.

HAHA oh shit i feel the same way, first tech concert i went to i thought i would be one of maybe 20 white people there. BUT it turned out i was one of the hundred white people mixed with maybe 20 black people, even i felt out of place lol. I dont mind his image, but i've actually talked to people who love his music but wont go to his concerts because of his image and the fans it brings in.

I think Tech should do whatever he wants to do....

its a big accomplishment to make it in the music industry, but an even bigger accomplishment to do it without changing yourself.

I think that you all should wait until the album comes out and see the concept of it....Then you'll have a better idea of whats up...and I dont do the clown shit, face paint and spikes either...But I do dig the concept...

This has been Tech's image for his entire career. Look at the cover for the OG Worst. Look at the NNUTTHOWZE shit on the T9X dvd. For every person who says he shouldn't be painting his face there are going to be 10 people saying he would be selling out if he didnt. Its amazing how many people can't just listen to the music.

i love the entire image that Tech has always had, and i love the fact that even through all the s*** hes had to deal with from people saying hes a devil worshiper and he does white music, he has always stayed tru to him self and kept doing what he wanted. if people dont like an artists beacuse of their image than that just proves that no omne listens to what an artist actually says.

This is the exact reason I said he should tone it down. Im not the type of person to write off an artist for their image, but you must admit that a good 80 percent of MTV/BET fans who are the people that would buy enough Tech N9ne to make the shit platinum, will just skip over it without giving it a chance because of his looks.


I agree with C-MOB on the making it in the industry just being yourself statement. I think that would be a beautiful thang. I agree with the fact that Tech should just do what he wants and it shouldnt matter, but like Ive said... bottom line is I believe he will just be getting looked over too quickly because of the face paint.

But, if he blows up after EVERREADY and gets a big fan base kinda like Cham had right before SOR dropped, then goes and drops ISMS with the face paint and still having bomb ass tracks that appeal to a mainstream audience- then I think he shouldnt have no problem making it in the industry as himself with the facepaint and/or hair.Taking away the facepaint doesn't take away from his music, it just helps him appeal to people on the surface so he can get that first listen to so many more peoples ears. Feel what Im saying?

keep the face paint, period. MTV and BET people WILL/MUST accept him sooner or later, something can be shoved down your throat only so many times until you give it a hance and realize that tech deserves his own music video channel, T9TV

Im rather disappointed i HAVENT seen the red spikes in the 2 shows ive been to. Both times its been down in corn-rows and braided...I love the fact he is staying true and real.....You dont have to be a crazy juggalo to love his music. ...no offense

Fuck all that changing. Shit, if people don't like it, move on. What makes Tech unique is that shit. Hell, some cats don't know Tech's music, but the minute you say he looks like a black Bart Simpson with Red hair, everyone knows who he is.
