is HTC Touch Pro 2 an Android phone? (edit: found out that it isn't but it can possibly be converted???? hellllllllp)

do any of you have experience with it? would you recommend it?

Im thinkin about this one because you have to get the everything plan with the Hero and I just want to be able to add interent on instead of having to get a new plan...

Looks like its Windows Mobile 6.1. My old phone had the same version also but I just felt it was limited in what it could do. I wouldn't reccomend a Windows Mobile phone to anyone, just feels like your missing out on the capabilities that smartphones have to offer.

sounds good, i dont really feel like dropping £350 on an iphone anyway

i've seen a couple of android phones i like, i'll put pics of them here so you guys can tell me if they're any good because you seem to know what you're talking about when it comes to these phones

Just the openness of their apps compared to an android phone or even an iphone. I've rooted my droid and have installed custom themes, overclocked my phone from 550mhz to 800mhz (for now). I just think you can multitask better on an android than a windows phone....i don't even think you can multitask on a windows phone. Basically I have customized my phone how I want it to work, not how fuckin Microsoft wants you to run it.

no man...us HTC Hero user's don't have it yet..we're waiting on it...

Once it's out I'm going to unroot my phone and slap that shit on..

or wait until the developers make the 2.1 update a lot better...

Us developers will have a working ROM of all of 2.1 before it comes out.

And dude wanting to port android to a HTC TP2.. Dont do it just get a damn android phone you wont have 3G and you will not have a working market which is 70% the reason most people buy android phones.
