the fuck so the only service that has unlimited data left is sprint?
I'm still grandfathered into my AllTel contract. When it switched us over from AllTel to Verizon, we had an unlimited data plan, and when we renewed back in December, we were able to keep the same plan.

Hopefully in a year and a half when we get new phones, we'll be able to keep it.

If you already have a smartphone with an unlimted plan you will be good when you upgrade again. The onlu people out of luck will be new customers and people that want to go from a basic phone to a smartphone after the change. If you got someone who wants a smartphone, do it now and you are set.

I heard the old "unlimited" plan on VZW isn't actually unlimited, but 5gb per month. Likwid is this true? And if so what happens if I exceed 5gb per month?

I used to have a blackberry and never used too much data, but now that I have my thunder bolt I use a lot more. I've been using my phone as a mobile hot spot too, but hesitant because I'm worried about going over

Highest ive used was 7gb on my droid and ive used over 5gb a few times. They figure if you are able to use a shitload of data through a smartphone, you have to be doing something against the terms and conditions of the contract. Ive never had any issues.

The main reason they arent changing the unlimited thing to include current customers, is because it would be breaching their side of the contract allowing customers to get out of their contract penalty free, im sure they are looking for a way to change it without allowing that, maybe by offering some kind of perk.

I have the iPhone 4, but I'm probably gonna use my fuckin upgrade and get an Android phone. There aint shit wrong with iPhone, but I been had one since the first one came out. I wanna try something new.

Only thing is I jailbreak my shit and get everything for free. I mean EVERYTHING. Can I do something similar with Android? Will I be able to get paid apps for free like I can with my iPhone? A simple yes or no will do. It's probably been discussed but I aint going thru this big ass thread to find out. LOL

My Droid X broke last week, so now I'm looking to get another expensive ass phone. I had to go back to my Droid 1, and I hate this phone already.

My carrier is Verizon, my upgrade isn't until November, but I want to go ahead and get something from ebay, because I don't think I can tolerate this Droid 1 until November. So my question is which phone should I try to get? Droid X2? Thunderbolt? or what?

eventhough i didnt have much time to read all 101 pages, im pretty confident to say that that droid ui fones are whats hot. I had a blackberry curve back in 08, a palm centro for half of 09 before i copped the Moment, and now I have the Epic4g. my final summation is that droid fones are the future. I mean, look at palm now, they cant compete and they are basically irrelevent, the blackberries are still in the game but have lost their popularity momentum due to the lack of coo new fones coming out. Im never buying anything else but a droid ui fone from now on period. Google is the isht ya heard?! Furthermore, the innovativeness of the apps too sicc, and they allow you to share information via txt, email, bluetooth, allshare, bump, or through the barcode scanner. so, my question is, does the siccness have an app out? id definately cop it!
