I would like to take the time to say I am really proud of our regular contributers Likwid, Northbay for keeping this thread and the droid mob alive
I tip my hat to the two of you and anyone I cant remember, blame the jack daniels.
I myself am working on my kitchen for the EVO which will allow you to create your own ROM and remove sys/apps so I apologize for my lack of posting

Samsung has a new internal OS called "bada" and its a straight copy of what they have done with android. They are also trying to get 3rd party's to make apps for this OS. Interesting...

I would rather fuck with android anyway.
Yeah I wouldn't fuck with it. It's probably going to be proprietary to Samsung for a while and Android already does so much and is growing so fast.

So is anyone out there considering a tablet? At first I wasn't thinking about one, but with free wifi tethering it would be nice for the times where I don't want to lug my laptop with me. With exchange access and gingerbread coming in the near future I think I'm going to cop a 10 inch tablet. I figured it would be great not only for the web access, but to view my photos after shooting on location.

its going to be carrier independant, since I dont need to pay for the internet with free wifi tetherin on the droid x. I'll probably spend a little more but it will be cool.
