^exactly, Vikings were the first non Native people to inhabit America. Can't believe a site like Times doesn't even mention them & actually credits the "discovery" of America to Columbus.

INTO THE WEST was a good lil mini series thang on history of the united states,shows real shit and i know it must been facts cause russell means star'ed in it and he dont do nothing if it aint real.

hisoty is all relative folks. columbus is the first westerner to introduce the americas to the culture that taught all of us our history. yeah, the natives (read: mongolians who liked to walk), and maybe the vikings and the chinese came here first, but thats not the point. do you care about who was where first? dunno, thats on you. i personally think that in terms of american history, what matters the most and has the most to teach us is how fucking evil greed and disrespect for other cultures can make people act. whether it be the killing of certain groups or the enslavement of others. i dont give a fuck who got here first, i give a fuck what they did when they got here.

By the time some china man peddeled their boats over here and before white people got lost while looking for india. there already were the great MAYA, AZTEC, and INCA civilizations with maps, temples and cities, science and astrology and healthcare and sports and just about everything. So them foolz didint discover jack shit.
