What these #'s show is that the Raiders have the ball ran on them a hell of alot more times than the niners do. But you can make a case that the Raiders have a better yards per carry defense.
Damn, atleast you knew what I was talking about.

...BUT, again with as many times ran against them they should.
Niners only have 4 less attempts than we do and gave up 20 more yards, if they where better they would have less yds/carry than we do.

all I was saying is that the Raiders d faced more rush attempts and gave up less yards/carry avg. Regardless that the Raiders had a bye this week. I'm talking attempts to yards. Why is that so hard to understand?
see post 34

attempts to yards over 3 games compared to 2 games is a huge difference.

again you are looking at the numbers as if they were over the same amount of games.

Please read post 34 again and look at the last part...that is the 3 game average for both teams. So the niners DO NOT have 4 less attempts, The Raidres have way more attempts against, and with that many more carries the YPC SHOULD be lower due to the higher number of attempts. The thinh you should worry about though is the difference is less than .5 yards per carry. With that many more carries that is not that big of a difference as it should be more to that if you want to prove they are better.

Teams would rather run against us, att. to yards may get better yds/carry. They could also run against the niners d like that and get the same result, but teams would rather throw against them. I wasn't saying the raiders rushing d was better, I was saying the niners rushing d isn't any better.

Not avg run attempts, total run attempts on each team this season. So yes 4 less total rushing attempts.

lmao

no, no, no,no and hellllllllllll no

I agree, I see philly as an elite team, they are complete all around, they have a really good defense, their front 7 can sack and stop the run, and when they have their entire secondary, its prolly the best D Backfield in the NFL, didnt all of them make the pro bowl like 2 years ago?

Their offense is deadly as well, not too many people can stop Mcnabb, WEstbrook, LJ Smith and WRs in the same play........

So you're telling me you wouldn't call the team with the NFL's leading passer, McNabb...

The team with the most offensive yards per game by nearly 50 yards to the next closest team...

The team with the NFL's highest yards per play average...

A team with a nearly 50% 3rd down conversion ratio...

Thats just this year on offense...Philly's been a factor in the NFC since 2001...they might've had a bad year last year, but if you wouldn't still call them an elite team in the NFL you're crazy.

I'm not even a Philly fan...but I'm saying...how you not gonna call a team that in the past 5 years has made it to the conference championship 4 times ?!

And even this year, Philly had 2 very convincing wins, might not have been against other elite teams, but their only loss was when they beat themselves

And Carolina ?! LMFAO @ that. Did you see them get manhandled by The Falcons ?

I guess it would really depend on what your definition of elite is, but I would definitely consider Philly one of the better teams in the league.

i agree with some of the things u said^^ but...

yea, we are talking about the same team that beat HOUSTON (2-14 last year) 24-10, and then LOST to the ny giants by giving up 24 points in the 4th quarter and a TD in overtime, and then beat the NINERS who were what? 4-12 last year? (no hate intended, i will admit the niners have VASTLY improved their team, and looking good thus far) Just because a team has high numbers, doesnt mean they are "elite" in the league, that statement is laughable. i will admit they are a good team, and we will see later on in the season when they face teams like Dallas, Indy, Atlanta, and Carolina....they've been downhill since losing in the superbowl, and it does look like they are coming back.....i would consider calling them "elite" if they had won AT LEAST 1 superbowl.....
