In 2005, California hospitals were provided $70 Million of Federal money to help with this issue. However, that amount barely provided any real coverage. As an example, for just two counties in California in 2005, San Diego County Medical went into the red for $100 Million and Los Angeles County Medical had $140 Million in medical red ink.

If not for covering illegal immigrants BIRTHS ONLY, California hospitals would stay in the black while also covering every man woman and child who could not pay.

However, the answer is to not turn any human being away who needs help, that is an honor to our nation, but rather invest in Mexico ( with profitable returns) to a point where people want to live there, and put stipulations on the assistance such as they must provide medical assistance to everyone as well.
