In American Me, there was a few scenes about the Nuestra Familia starting up their own gang, one dude says during a meeting when asked about a prison in vacaville..."the farmers we wouldn't take in are starting up their own clica, they're calling it the Nuestra Familia" or somethin like that... That story was more of a subplot but it took up a good chunk of time.

he got dumped for trying to get in the way of someone who not only got him busted, but someone who was speaking down on la eme out in the streets just because he was a free man. I don't think people realize how easy it is to get killed in the pen, regardless of how long you have put it down.

It's a good ass movie though, I just bought it a couple weeks ago. I had forgot about a bunch of scenes in that movie cause i hadn't seen it in years.

the reason they were afraid of the drive by's is because there were actual gang members that were extras in the movie, and a lot of people didn't want them shootin the film in the hood

i think you are looking a bit too much into this non-Sureno/Norteno affiliated film. That shit isnt mentioned even once in the whole 3-4 hours (however long) of the movie. "Smell-A"; actually it doesnt smell too bad...
