no,

also, fuck Mary J Blige

menopausal bitches

Hating on women (Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, Queen Latifa, Jenniffer Lopez and Pink)? And not gay? You must not know that a menopausal woman is in her sexual prime at that age.

And you damn right I'd still hit J-Lo.

It's either 2 things Brugh, you gay, or you a pediphile.

The problem with rap music is that the average rap fan is identical to the average Siccness user. And the day I take advice on music from a 16 year old kid who thinks he knows what true Hip Hop is is the day I stop listening to rap.

I don't really give a shit about age. I mean, am I supposed to like Bow Wow pre-puberty? Or was I supposed to be a Romeo fan?

Good music is good music, and if an artist puts out a shitty album, it's a shitty album, period. As I've gotten older, I've started listening more to the substance of the lyrics, instead of the 'hard beat' and witty lines.

If T.I.'s uncle Harold, who celebrated his 63rd birthday two weeks ago, puts out a hard ass album, I'll bump it.

Or I guess I should only like a rapper if he can't get signed to a major, and say it's better that way, because having a day job at Auto Zone is hard as fuck, and that if someone else likes that rapper, then I can't knock him, because he's not 'real' and underground anymore.

Sure.

its not rappers getting older, its them making shitty music, or no longer making the music u enjoyed when they were younger.
Are the artists making shitty music, or were the albums they made early on in their career so awesome that they can't ever come close to the greatness they once achieved? Another example is Celly Cel. His first three albums "Heat 4 Yo Azz", "Killa Kali", and "The G Filez" were all awesome albums, each one being better that the previous. I consider every album he has put out since then to be very mediocre at best. I keep buying his albums hoping that he will put out something half as good as "The G Filez", but I have also realized that it is very difficult to make another album just as good. I still think he is a great rapper and will continue to buy his albums regardless of his age because age has nothing to with talent. I realize that most of the rappers I listened to when I was younger are not going to make an album as good as their earlier classics, but just because they are older does not mean I will stop supporting them because it's uncool to support older rappers.

And as I have gotten a little older, I have lost touch with the current rappers on the radio. But the only reason is because their music is such trash. I flip on the radio every once in a while, but after about 30 seconds of hearing another song talking about what you are drinking in the club and how shorty looks on the dance floor, I just have to wonder what the fuck happened to real rap music being played on the radio.

now i cant see a 35/40 year old tryin to break dance and wearing certain clothes because high school kids are into it.i say leave that part of HipHop to the youngstas.but rappin? cmon now, rappin aint nothing but poetry to a beat.why would somebody be too old to do that?a lot of people dont realize is over twenty years old so there is a 30/40 year old fan base for HipHop as long as they keep it real, entertaining and can hold on to the listener for a whole song..

Becuase no one wants to hear, or is going to believe, that a 50 year old man is still out in the streets sellin dope, puttin in work for the set and mackin on fly honeys.
thats one of the problems with rap music.its so many things to rap about in this world, why keep your mind, and creativity rendered down to those standards?thats a slap in the face to rap music and the mindless listeners with that frame of mind.

I agree with this statement. I don't even think its age. I think its when a person been in the game so long. Rick Ross has only been enjoying mainstream success for only like a couple of years but he's old as fuck. He been on the underground for awhile but as a mainstream artist he's a fresh face to the crowd out there.

It seems like most of the rappers I listen to be in their mid to late 20's and 30's...

It's like do you wanna man's perspective or a boys?
