Wow, doing research on this guy and he really makes the previous Pope look great. The Vatican is really taking a step backwards with this a guy. Someone who is very familar with Nazism being that he was a member of the Hitler Youth.

He did take the name of a previous pope who exhorted the Catholics of Poland to get rid of the Jews in their midst. And on top of that he's been strongly opposing sanctions on pedophile priests. Hmm.

Why do they change their name when they become Pope? This guy Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) is the guy who signed the letter that the Vatican sent out to bishops to make sure they were covering up child molestation.

I read on a couple sites that they think he is purposely going to be a "transitional Pope" meaning that he will likely hand over his title to someone in the next 3 years. Out of the 260+ Popes or whatever there have been a number that were Transitional

^^Nah, there have been many Popes who handed down their title and many thought that the Prior Pope would do the same because of his failing health and since he was noticeably senile.

The Code of Canon Law 332 §2 (http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P16.HTM) states, If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his office, it is required for validity that the resignation is made freely and properly manifested but not that it is accepted by anyone.

I just want to remind everyone here that it doesnt matter if he was a Nazi. That's in the past and above all, GOD wants him to be Pope. God wants a Nazi Pope, so there you have it. GOD = NAZI. Besides, most of you already have a Nazi as your Governor, why not the Pope?

I was hearing he was associated with, if not a Nazi.. I'm gonna research that some more right now in fact. I just saw the guy on tv, and he looks really creepy to me.. He's creepy in all of his pictures. He's ultra-conservative, and some chump was describing him as " dedicated to old fashioned values, and very kind hearted person at home". Old fashion values is a friendlier term for sexist puritan.
