i appreciate that yall are still rockin with me after 18 weeks..thats alot of time...we had all types of people on the show, from different sets throughout san diego... never any beef or any of the funking you hear about in san diego..ive seen people freestyling for mintues straight ripping it better than big names in rap music...no one has been unprofessional like all the rap promoters call us san diegans..no ones been shot or beat up... everyone has always been here to all gas no brakes on time, ready to rock..its always been a good vibe and personally im just glad that the hood has a voice now in san diego...when people hit me up and tell me they like a certain song and wanna know more about it i feel like i did my job..thats what i do this for and thats what djing is really about.. times have changed and its more computers instead of turntables but the feeling is still there if youre having fun when the shits recording and the music you pick is reflective of that... i think i said before, man... i used to wait next to the radio with cassette tapes when dj rags was on the radio just waiting to press record when i heard something new...i had all the mix tapes from crazy toones to dj rectangle to beat junkies and beyond..all in all im just trying to bring back the real authentic west coast mixtape/dj shit...im just doin cd shit now but eventually its about to go back to the turntables...im breaking ground for SD but im realizing that i have a bigger duty as a born and raised cali nigga...i gotta wonder how mixmaster spade would feel....
all the technology is great but..i try to attack my shows like im making a mixtape on cassette on some back in the days shit..ive been thinking, i might do a all gas no brakes live on analog recording and make it only available on tape...so youre gonna have to go find a old cassette walkman or tape player to be with the shit......its been a long time coming, back in 2000 when me and dj synical used to mix records and scratch in the garage, throwin house parties and drawing our own flyers...once again tho thanks for fuckin with it and im gonna continue to have new people on my show, and different types of music and there will always be giveaways and suprises...if you ever wanna help out in any way or even come be on the show holla at me.
edit: oh and this week we got guest...and next week..and if im not mistaken christie and cj wanted to do some shit when yellow tape drops....so maybe wrongkind might be on agnb x2...i need to get june on my show, though.

i found my walkman too, and i was jamming all my old pause tapes i made back in the day...went through my old vinyl records and was trippin on some of the music i got that ill never find on youtube..
yeah, i have the tascam 4 track to do it, plus an akai s20 sampler to use to make beats on the spot/sound effects, a few guitars a turntable and a few other small things, not including whats at the studio..i just either need to find the correct ac adapters for them or buy new ones..if i do that ill have a few mcs there with me.
i just need to figure out if theres a way i can feed whats playing on the computer into a available track...probably trial and error...otherwise ill do it at the pad...but ive really been thinking about the cassette thing just to be old school, maybe i wont even 4 track that show specifically, i could just old school mix tape it on a dual cassette drive. still got that too.
so, maybe ill do the all gas no brakes flinstone edition after juice lee's all gas no brakes. (scheduled after where i'm tryna get mooch, after this one)
the show gets more fun the more i do it, music wise, i dont think people get to see this type of shit from san diego. one week i might be on some hip hop shit then the next its back to the authentic san diego shit that the locals can comprehend..
the one challenge is getting music from everyone in san diego...its not always easy to do the footwork...I'm glad I have a few people who work with me. I can definately say I don't do this alone and I appreciate the help ive been given..
but im doin it for the town so fuck it..i gotta do it..i wanna see someone from this city get signed....i wanna see this city on BET and alla dat..
I read in murder dog that messy marv has a movie coming out called all gas no brakes....thats wussuper..no sarcasm..i think its dope

I think i could put my stamp on every song i played this week. I don't think i played one song that wasnt a slap. It was mostly blue-collared rappers since cutt was in the house, so i played alot of sd crip slumps this time around. I did however throw that big june "shackled" from mydagozon because junes locked up and it was a perfect song for the occasion...cutthroat is actually one of my favorite rappers in san diego because he speaks on alot of pro-black conciousness, unity between minorities and basically being a real community activist instead of just a banger. he seems to have a little black panther in him and i can appreciate that. if im not mistaken thats exactly how gangs were formed, to be community leaders and keep the hood straight.

one more thing..licwits napalm vol 2 will have a special double disc with the album...yall are gonna enjoy it...we are working on ideas and beats and shit for it now. so if you liked napalm vol 1 youre gonna love the second one. itll be my first hosted mixtape, so support it when it drops.
