Being a huge fan of Tim Burton, and with respect to the way he portrays his films, I always told myself that a [Tim Burton] remake of Alice In Wonderland would be perfect. I learned this year it's actually happening.
The movie is currently being filmed and is set for release in 2010.
I know a lot of you dislike remakes in general but I think this might work. Anyone else a fan of Tim Burton?
Wikipedia: Alice in Wonderland is a 2010 fantasy film directed by Tim Burton and based on the Lewis Carroll novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. The film will utilize a technique combining live action and motion capture technology. Mia Wasikowska will portray Alice and the film is due for release on March 19, 2010.
Joe Roth was developing Alice in Wonderland in April 2007 at Walt Disney Pictures with Linda Woolverton as screenwriter.[10] Woolverton added a socio-political context to the story.[1] That November, Tim Burton signed with Disney to direct two films in Disney Digital 3-D, which included Alice in Wonderland.[11] Burton dislikes the 1951 Disney film adaptation. He explained "the goal is to try to make it an engaging movie where you get some of the psychology and kind of bring a freshness but also keep the classic nature of Alice." He also felt 3-D was appropriate to the story's environment.[3] The film was originally to be released in 2009, but was pushed to March 19, 2010.
