just thought of this....didnt tech n9ne sell more first week???

on his own indie label too...almost zero radio play, no akon, no t-pain, no shawty lo, no big name producers...

e-40 must be losin his fanbase
yep tech sold like 37k.

here is the problem with losing ur fanbase. once it's gone, its GONE. no gettin it back. ask too short. he still sells decent, but not major label good. probably 40s last major label album IMO.

yeah i agree...i think too short will always be able to sell 40k an album, even with no promo or radio song....cuz we all know hes not switchin up his style anymore than it has changed over the last 20+ years, and he has plenty of loyal fans that still love it

until you can boast the acomplishments of e-40

and some can, people shouldnt be speaking on his sales imo. the game is saturated with clowns, thus, affecting his sales, because everyones a rapper and is critical of someone who has a real career and longevity, who has the game twisted again, i forgot!

40K is nothing for a major. I cant believe how shitty cd sales are now a days. Indies use to push that much like 5-7 years ago. Music industry is dying. Check the sales on his other solos, this new one (sales wise) is a huge disappointment.

LOL @ all the wannabe economists in here.

For one, rappers make a majority of their money from doing concerts...album sales dont really show you SHIT, as a rapper makes PENNIES (literally) on albums-sold. The independent game is a bit different.

E-40 is doing FINE. Everyone chill the fuck out.

moral of the story.

if grandpa 40, i say this because of his longevity, not as a joke, cant push units with a major behind him, what do the rest of you lolipops think you are gonna do? make music for the passion, not to make money because there is none to make except for a select few. find another hustle, quit flooding the shelves with garbage! technology fucked up the business of cd sales, the bay area music industry is on the brink of instinction on a national level.
