The whole thing is just kind of strange. He even told his mother a week before his killing that if he were to die, she would be rich, (in Murder Dog magazine). So the question that nobody can know if most of the success was because of his death, or because he is one of the greatest rappers ever, or because of the radio play....nobody can really know that flat out, so it's hard to speculate. If you know anything about Mac Dre's music, you know he was about money and havin fun, I really doubt he wouldn't be lovin it to be on the radio and have his shit be trendy, because having all that exposure, all kinds of races listening, 11 year olds to 50 year olds, squares to dudes in the Pen, that is a feeling of Power and Accomplishment and Success few will ever experience. I rarely listen to the radio so it's great if I hear a Mac Dre track. I just hope his family and close friends are getting the majority of all this money being made, and not greedy leaches. a few nights ago i was on the bus and i seen some dude stop at a red light, hop out and try to go stupid. he just kept hoppin around yellin out 'pimp shit, yaddimean, pimp shit!' it was like a white college student with his pants floodin and a young ass shirt on. he was bumpin boss tycoon i think too. after seeing that i never wanted to listen to mac dre again.

I love hearin his music in the club or on the radio down here, because it's fuckin rare that I hear anything BAY. But I remember when I was kickin it wit this beezy at her brothers house wit his partna's they hated that shit, except for one of them. He was on all the shit from beginning to end. 9 months later, I get back wit them and all they talk about is thizz this and yadada that. Tryna show me they know how to Thizz dance and get stupid. But I think that it helped when DJ T-Ski moved down here too.
