There is no way to say Ray Lewis is one of the best LB's ever after only 6 years. Tuggle had 12 consecutive 100 tackle seasons, and a career high 207. I would absoultly take everyone I listed over Lewis in a career pool right now. Lewis is a great LB and will go down as one of the best, but if he goes down to early, hes not making any top 5 or top 10 lists. As for an ESPN poll, it doesnt matter much, I have seen some of the most ridiculous polls and votes on there. Plus you gotta look at the fact that a lot of guys that are on there dont even know who Chuck Bednarik is. More than half the guys I listed are Hall of Famers.

Well big916, everyone has there on opinion homie, and my opinion is Lewis is the 3rd greatest LB of alltime right now!! I have never seen a LB lead his team to a superbowl victory!! Usually its the QB or RB, but the LB, thats unheard of!! But u can think what u want, I just disagree folks!! I dont know if he will ever pass L.T.. but Butkis is reachable!! I dont rememebr who all u had on the list, but Tuggle I know fasho aint better than Lewis, he was coo, but never considered the best when he played in his own time!! Then u forgot who another LB who is probably better than most the LB's u listed.....Junior Seau!! He is probably a top 5 LB as well!!!

Your right I did forget Seau. I would put him up there also. Once again I go back to the time thing, its tuff to say after only 6 years. Say he never recovers from his current injury and has to retire next season, he would not make the hall. Its tough to make the Hall as a Linebacker, and the ones that are there had awesome career's, none made it after 6 years. You get around 10 and thats your mark.
For a great example look at Terrell Davis, just a few seasons ago, he looked like he would be one of the best ever, now he is retired and allthough he will always be remembered as a great Back, nobody will have him in their top 10.
