Although I did not read all of the links in this thread as of yet, it makes perfect sense to me that the amalgamation of cultures assimilated in the manner that they did. What I have yet to uncover is the link between "Amerindians," Latinoes, and Africans. I hypothesize that at one point in time they were one in the same, all having asiatic roots, and only became more defined and disenfranchised as separate cultural identities from european intervention. For example, there is evidence of many cultures constructing pyramids; from africa, to mexico, to peru these structures have existed thousands of years, but yet with our westernized modern mids, the smartest of architechs cannot even begin to fathom how these magnificent buildings were built. And if you know anything about DeSoto's travel to America, there were large domed shaped structures that existed that the Mississipian/Muskoki peoples built, and only 100 years later the identity of the indians had been so corrupted, misconstrued, and was ultimately lost due to famine and disease and other harships brought upon them by europeans that they didnt even know what the mound structures signified, were used for, or how they were constructed. Go figure.

interestingly enough is the fact that with the physical features presented on their statues one could clearly see they look as though they are of african decent (broad noses, lips, ect)

i think it is highly possible that some african tribes could have had contact with their brown skinned counterparts who inhabitanted the north american continent, way before the vikings or christopher colubus were purported to have "discovered" it.

edj, so u sayin that people who are mexicans and peruvians and the ones who are hispanics have african roots in them? because i'm originally from peru but my parents parent are originally from italy and spain and doesn't italy come from north africa? because it's kinda strange i have brothers who doesn't look the same or think the same as me because i look different and darker and my face looks a bit like juelz santana no homo but i aint sayin dat nigga cute or nothing but it's kinda similar to it u know..so it's like my brothers really look different then me as in they look white and there hair isn't curly like mines but my dad got curly hair too and he kinda look similar like the one old dude from cosby's da one wit da white hair lol..does this mean that i actually got more african root in me then my family or what? this is kinda strange to me cuz they never let me hung around wit black kids back wen i was lil but i snucked out all da time cuz for me it's natural my family doesn't even think like me cuz it's like what i think is what black folkz think to and i came here in the united states when i was 2 so i was raised here.....what are ur thoughts about the white people? weren't they created by some evil black scientist ages ago? let me kno what ya thoughts
