Well he is a "running" back and that's his main job (to "run" the ball). And that point isn't irrelevant, he eye witnessed the best back doing what he do best. If L.T. was better then he should of ran for more yards in that game to show who is best. AD set a record for most yards in one game in his rookie season. And don't forget what he did to the Bears in that same season, he was returning kick offs too.... He's a beast.... It does seem like LT is hatin' a little bit though. I mean it's not that hard to pick up a blitzing linebacker. AD runs against more 8 men fronts too (L.T. doesn't face as many 8 men fronts because of the presence of Antonio Gates)
yes it is his job to run the ball, but remember he said he was a better all around back not better than peterson.....dont get me wrong, i did vote for peterson on this thread and i get where it comes off as hating. thats why i said i wish dude just wouldnt say anything.oh and no, not everyone can pick up a blitzing linebacker just watch any given game on a sunday and you can witness that... and lets not start talking about records cause the list is gonna get long

I voted 4 Adrian Peterson because i think when it's all said & done he will be a top 5 running back of all time,,,,but u gotta give Ladainian Tomlinson his credit where credit is due 4 what he did in his pro and college career, when LT ran for over 400 yards in one game at TCU i was watching it live on TV, and LT is a dangerous weapon 2 have on your team when he's healthy,,,,but AD is a more dangerous offensive weapon

If AP could learn how to catch the ball it wouldn't be close. LT made some good points though, I'm going with LT as far as all around back. LT doesn't run the ball with the ferocity that AP does.

LaDanian's vision and running abilities are unmatched in the league and without the injuries he woulda put up even more ungodly numbers. But let's not forget that he had a great run-blocking line too when he was breakin records left and right. The Chiefs had the best o-line i ever seen(try and find one better) and LaDanian still outshined Priest Holmes in the end. LaDanian is a bastard. Everybody i know who lives in Big 12 country knew how stupid the teams were for passin on AD(not AP) in the draft.

What I like about Peterson is he loves contact and runs downhill! Basically, he really can still do descent without a great offensive line IMO. Reminds me a lot of Jim Brown...

he doesnt have a great O-Line. I dont really understand y people say he has a great o-line, beside Hutchinson none are above average, 2 have never even played in a NFL game

Well, you would know better than me, since your a Vikings fan! I honestly couldn't name your five starters. I barely have time this season to keep up with The Steelers... What you said then just proved my point about the type of Running Back he is.
