Kaliko is tight. I cant wait to hear him solo. I think when Kaliko starts doin his own thang tech will start doin ' his own hooks. I cant wait till all this shit is out. Kutt Kalhoun sounds like his album will be off the hinges!

I'm not buying it Charles.....i mean.....how many different ways is a person supposed to sing?

I agree with JL though....i wish Tech did more of his own hooks....he needs to go back to that style he used on the Kon-Tra-Ban song "Shit Ain't Sweet"....i'm lovin that hook.

Everyone wants to use Kaliko on the hook and even though most of the time I like it, it is getting hella old and I wont want to hear that shit anymore. It seems as though they are using him on over 3/4ths of all of their albums and not trying hard enough to be innovative... I guess as long as it is working, then go for it...
Well if it were workin, Tech would be tourin' the east.

Just the fact that you named 6 songs he's on, proves our point. Kaliko dug his own grave as a hook-man.

Well.... Nicholas....
I "never" mentioned that Kaliko sounds the same on all those songs, it's just that whenever you hear three albums and they follow the same "FORMAT," that makes me feel that no one is trying to be innovative in their own way, instead, they make those trial and tribulation songs with Krizz on the hook and they all sound the same... As much as I am around for shows and shit, I still cant tell the difference between BG's song and SS's song with Krizz, until I hear them, but in my head, I cant single them out. Now I know, but lets be real... WE ALL HAVE HAD THE DISCUSSION WHERE WE ALL FELT THAT KALIKO IS BEING USED JUST A WEE BIT TOO MUCH.... RIGHT!!! I love all their music, and given the chance to use him, I would and will, but it wont be the same sound that he's putting out there. We know he has like 42 voices and all, but step outta the other mans circle for a minute and do your own shit. But who am I to say anything, I am just a guy that sits on the siccness and talks shit huh???

Zer0, you said it man... He dug himself a grave as a hook man, and has only done one verse this whole time...

dug his own grave?

if so be on the look out for the Resurection coming 2004....the ideas he has for his album is waaaaaay out there....its unfortunate that you've written him off before he's even had the chance to put out his own shit.

I'm sayin......you got someone with an incredible voice and all types of styles.....why WOULDNT you want him doing your hooks?

You're sayin that you'd rather hear unpolished vocalists on these hooks?

I thought this started out about Kaliko's styles on the hooks.....now its about the quantity?

Let me interject my two cents, Kal is one of the coldest if you wanna call the man hook-man then well use that, the fact he comes different on all these songs, come on know, SS, is totally different from Tech-N9ne, to me it and Kutt, you guys must not really check the lyrical content......... Not everybody is as way out there as Tech, and these are just a few talented cats comming from the lable.

See I just dont see anybody talking about Nate Dogg all over DR and sounding the same.

In another note you feed your family, why go outside when the man with a million voices is right there, and in another note, its nice to have other people interject there opinion when your in the studio, and the same format, lets see how many other formats in rap is there, you rap, hook, rap, hook, and rap again and maybe even somtimes you have a bridge.

To me you cant confuse any of those songs, and the beats are not the same either, so I'm thinking you guys{its my opinion} are expectin shit way out there like Tech, hell you only get one of those, I am so really not a fan of rap, but everybody in the Strange Stables bring it, not to many songs I'm not feeling, shit i'm shocked about that. Or maybe the fact there shit is real simple, and your not used to that. I love the fact its not so Techish, and again you feed your stables, then when everybody is paid then they can get raped and pay out the ass for other people,

I think its a complete group, everybody plays there part till its there time to shine, Kal will spit more when his shit is about to pop. the next out the gate is SS and Kutt just makes more since to put them in the light first.

Well why don't we just make Tech N9ne a group then, if Kaliko is going to be on every hook.. And my point was always about quantity.

You're sayin that you'd rather hear unpolished vocalists on these hooks?
DMX pulls it off. Em pulls it off. Dre does it. I don't personally consider Tech doin' his own hooks "unpolished vocalists".

ZerO got to the point before i could speak on it. I would personally rather see less Kalico, and more of the artist that actually does the song. Save Kalico for his own album and maybe a few appearences here and there. I love Tech's hooks and not saying that Kalico's arent good but i think Tech can do just fine himself. For instance the hook on "Real Sex" is great. Even though that isnt Tech's song it still shows that he is very capable of his own hooks.

Peace

why all this shit about hooks and shit
let mutherfuckers do what they do goddamnit... lol

on a side note, i think tech and kriss are great on hooks

tech- trauma, and that "kansas city & st loyuiis "song by c4,
kris- well i like everything he does cus he's so fuckin precise
and although he's "the rnb guy" and i don't like rnb, i still think he's shit fits perfect
