funny thing about it is they led off with resurfacing articles about him in college
that showed scouts claiming he ran with gangs in his hometown (somefuck, Conn..)
and failed a few DTs for marijuana...
then came the warrant for obstruction of justice.... even if he is wit the shit like that
he has enough money to stay out of jail.even if he is the trigger man..he might only be released n end up on a lame non contending team or worse... out of the league all together but my bet is he has enough chips to evade real time.

He better accept that plea bargain and do about 20 years, that way he'll get out when he's 43 or 44. He still owns a house and his wife or fiance could handle his business (pay the bills, raise the kids) while he's away.

If he fights the case and loses, he could face life and he'll never live in his house again.

Well Obstruction of Justice is easier to beat than a murder charge. It's going to be interesting to see what they're going to charge him with.

A source tells Profootballtalk.com to "assume the worst" regarding the overall Aaron Hernandez situation.
Police did not treat Hernandez like someone accused of obstruction Wednesday morning. They had seven officers take him into custody and staged a perp walk in broad daylight in front of the assembled media. They could have just asked him to turn himself in and save face. Additionally, the Patriots likely have more information than we have right now regarding Hernandez's exact charge and what evidence authorities have against him. They released him Wednesday morning. Hernandez will be arraigned at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday, at which point charges will be filed.

Pats will take at least a $7.5 million cap charge for Hernandez in 2014

One of the obvious questions that arise in the aftermath of the Patriots’ decision to cut tight end Aaron Hernandez is the cap consequences, if any, for the move.

While it’s trivial in comparison to the fact that this all stems from the death of Odin Lloyd, it’s relevant information moving forward for the Patriots.

For 2013, the Patriots will carry a $2.5 million charge for the portion of his $12.5 million signing bonus, paid last year. Hernandez’s base salary of $1.323 million is fully guaranteed, and so the cap number will remain $4.073 million unless and until the Patriots can finagle a way to avoid paying him. (Chances are they’ll try.)

Because the move comes after June 1, the balance of the cap charge will apply to 2014. That’s $7.5 million in signing bonus money, and possibly another $1.137 million in guaranteed salary. That’s $8.637 million that the Patriots will carry for Hernandez next year.

The Patriots can, in theory, reduce that money by blocking the guaranteed payment(s) or recovering signing bonus money. As to the bonus money, however, the Patriots have to recover it before they get the cap credit. Also, the decision to release Hernandez could prevent them from getting a penny back in signing bonus money.

The broader question, which we’ll address separately, is that the Patriots made this move without caring about the financial or cap consequences

Charged with Murder

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a former semi-pro football player.
23-year-old Hernandez was arraignment this morning in a Massachusetts courtroom, where he was also charged with ...

As we reported, Hernandez was arrested today at his Massachusetts home after 27-year-old Odin Lloyd's body was discovered close to the NFL star's home last week. It appears Odin was shot through the back of the head.

Lloyd is believed to have been dating the sister of Aaron's fiancee at the time of his murder.

Details surrounding the murder are still unclear.

The prosecutor offered some details of the charges against Hernandez. Hernandez was seen with Lloyd at 2:30 a.m. the morning he was found dead, according to the Boston Globe's Wesley Lowery, one of the reporters in the courtroom. Hernandez's phone included texts to Lloyd and two friends the night of the murder. According to Lowery, the prosecutor said police have Hernandez on tape with a firearm saying "you can't trust anyone anymore" before picking up Lloyd. The prosecutor said in court that Hernandez is shown on video walking through his house with a gun in his hand, then Hernandez walks to the basement and the surveillance video turns off.
