they have BEEN a minority....at my school i'm in this class that requires us to put together a newscast each week, so I had to do a story about increased alcohol patrols...so I went on a ride along with one of the Sgt's...dude was cool as hell, one cop that I can say I didn't want to shoot in the face...and he even said that shit like this gives them a bad name, and it sucks for them..

Now, I've dealt with my fair share of cops in my life, and I can say that 95% of them didn't treat me with respect from the get go. That right there, means that they are NOT doing their job. Their job is to SERVE and PROTECT my ass...not harrass me and follow me.

I've been stopped in the MIDDLE OF FUCKING CAMPUS by police, to ask me if I go to school out here....I've been stopped 5 feet in front of my FUCKING DRIVE WAY for supposedly not using a turn signal 5 blocks previously...I've been stopped walking at night, going home, because I looked like someone who robbed somebody...I had my hair braided and was wearing baggy clothes....

Boeg, the shit you learn about cops is mostly CRAP. Sure, there are nice cops. I'm not saying that there aren't. But the majority that I DEAL WITH are bad cops, as in, they don't do their job correctly...doesn't matter what they are doing wrong, if they are doing something wrong, they aren't a "good" cop...

Now obviously, the only reference that ANYONE ON THIS PLANET can use, is PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

I've been on BOTH sides...I've been on the side where we get harassed cause I'm dressing a certain way, and I don't "look white." And then there's times when I get pulled over, and they see I have L's, and insurance, and registration, and I've NEVER gotten a fucking ticket...then they are nice.

They prejudge people. All of them. It's in their job description to IDENTIFY people by the group the cops feels they associate with. If you try to tell me they don't have profiles, you are a LIAR because the cop I did my ride along with said otherwise.

I agree with 2-0-Sixx, but most of what has been said in here, and just about everyones general attitude towards police is preconceived. I don't think of cops as being good or bad. Circumstances vary across the many different cities where cops are present and it is pointless to pass judgement on every last one of them as a whole. I hold cops in disregard as much as possible, dealing with them only when I'm being arrested or if I'm calling them, should such circumstances present themselves. I'll just leave it at that because everyone is set in their ways when it comes to police.
