Porsche designers are too lazy. The only porsche I really like is the 911.
The cayman looks like a 911 with the back changed a bit.
The boxster looks like a 911 which shrunk in the wash and had the back changed a bit.
The cayenne looks like a 911 which has reversed into a shed.
The panamera doesn't look too bad but porsche really need to add some variety to their designs. At least the 911 will always be a classic.
Ever heard of "never change the winning team"? Porsche is known for the 911 and that is what makes Porsche. Porsche just took over VW and they are not about to stop. If you wanna buy a Porsche, you want to have the Porsche Look, right? If not, then buy a Maserati or whatever...

lol....how do you figure?
Ford owned Jaguar and Land Rover for awhile, late 90s Ford Taurses had just about the same body style as a Jaguar s-type. Ford owned Jaguar until 2008 it was just reciently sold to an Indian company that also bought land rover. Just like Lexuses are just Toyotas with leather and more bells and whistles, at one point a couple of the toyotas and the lexuses has almost the exact same body style and engine. Car companies do this shit all the time

True shit but.....

The Taurus and any Jag were never on the same "platform"/"chassis" although they may have shared some pieces out the parts bin. Im glad Ford sold Jaguar because Jag is much better than that

You are right about car companies doin that type of shit all the time though since a long time ago. GM was/is infamous for that, through the sixties and especially seventies mostly the whole GM lineup were versions of essentially the same chassis...different ones.

In time a lot or car companies started doing this;

Toyota made Lexus and then Scion

Nissan made Infinity

Chrysler was in bed with Mercedes for a few years thats how the 300-Magnum-Charger-Challenger came about.....but they just recently broke up. Those cars are pretty much half of a Mercedes E class, they have the same underpinnings....oh yea and the Chrysler Crossfire is a re-skinned 1st gen Mercedes SLK.

Ford bought Jaguar and then sold it like you said.

BMW owns Mini

GM is in bed with Daewoo

GM also works with Toyota (Pontiac Vibe/ Toyota Matrix)

The new VW van is a Chrysler Town & Country with a different face and ass.

There is more if anybody wants to continue on.....

edit: and VW aquired Bently and Rolls Royce.
