IF VICK WASNT A GOOD QB WHY WOULD THEY USE DA 1ST PICK ON HIM
Why did Alex Smith go number one overall? Why did anyone want Ryan Leaf? BECAUSE THEY DID WELL IN COLLEGE. That doesn't mean they will do well in the NFL. Do I really need to create a list of draft busts?

AND SECOND IF HIS NOT A GOOD QB HOW THEY HELL THOSE HE TAKE DA FALCONS TO DA NFC CHAMPIONSHIP..
You people who support Vick need to get off this bullshit already. I don't give a fuck how good you are, NOBODY can take a team to any championship by themselves. If that were the case Carson Palmer and Drew Brees would be competing with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning for a championship every fuckin year. Peyton Manning, the best QB in the league and one of the best QBs EVER, can't even take his team to the championship (AFC or NFL) by himself. People need to stop trying to credit Vick by discrediting the Falcons. That bullshit argument is old.

And just so you know, WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET VICK. Read the Niners beat writers' blogs. The Niners organization already said THEY ARE NOT PURSUING MIKE VICK. Get over it.

You would think that the Raiders and Bengals would have first dibs since that's where most ex felons go,lol. If the Niners signed Mike vick I honestly would not root for the team anymore. Dude is an overrated qb if I have ever seen one and he's a piece of shit off the field.
Exactly.

But the raiders should not even be looking into him, either. It will do nothing but waste time and slow the development of Jamarcus Russell. And the Bengals already have a QB who shits all over Vick.

Don't try to twist my words and act like I'm saying I spent extensive time studying Mike Vick. When I see people like yourself riding his nuts I question whether you really watched the guy play or not. You're the type of person that is in awe of a player because of what you see on the highlight reel at the end of the week.

There is no way you can try to say Vick is a good QB and actually have any evidence to prove you're right.

Are you fuckin serious? Do you know what the meaning of OVERRATED is? He got there BECAUSE he was overrated. Use your head if you wanna argue with me.

And I'd rather search for a QB for the future than waste time with Mike Vick.

The 49ers emphatically closed the door on any possibility imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick will suit up for the club in 2009 or beyond.

Coach Mike Singletary did not express interest in acquiring Vick during a question-and-answer session with reporters following a state-of-the-franchise event Monday in San Mateo. But Singletary created plenty of intrigue when he also did not rule out Vick as an option.

But, now, the 49ers are ruling it out.

"The 49ers are not interested in Michael Vick," said a team spokesman Tuesday evening.

Team insiders have said for several weeks that 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan does not consider Vick a viable option for the team's future. McCloughan has not spoken publicly about Vick, and he does not plan to speak about any player under contract with another team. Vick remains under contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

McCloughan is likely being extra-cautious after the 49ers forfeited a fifth-round draft pick last year after the NFL ruled the club was guilty of tampering with Bears linebacker Lance Briggs.

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said last week he is actively seeking to trade Vick, who is expected to be released on July 20 after serving a prison term on federal dog-fighting charges. It is not known when NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will lift an indefinite suspension and clear Vick to return to the playing field.

Niners president Jed York also addressed the Vick issue on Monday, saying any such football decision would rest with McCloughan and Singletary. York added he did not believe the club would acquire Vick.

"It's up to them to show that somebody who's had issues in the past can be a part of this team. But that's not something we've discussed, and I doubt that would happen," York said Monday.

On Dec. 10, 2007, Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison. He is currently serving his term in Leavenworth, Kansas.

The 49ers become at least the fourth NFL team to publicly express no interest in acquiring Vick:

--Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik said of Vick, "No, I don't see that in our future."

--Detroit coach Jim Schwartz said, "We want to keep an open mind toward just about anybody, but when you talk about Pacman (Jones) or maybe Michael Vick, I don't think we're in a position as a team that we can go in those directions."

--A Jets spokesman said, "The Jets have no interest in Michael Vick."

mike vick gets props from ballers across the league as a dope qb. mcnabb, moss, owens, brady, palmer, mcnair.... ill take their word and my personal experience watching every falcons game over an occasional game watched by some douchebag on the other side of the country that thinks hes some football guru because he watches espn and regurgitates word for word the same shit he hears. not to mention he shits on shaun hill and alex smith and would be a massive upgrade. but id be salty if he ended up on a faggot team like the 9ers.
