i like quik because he does what he wants when he wants and how he wants.dr dre on the other hand listen to other people tracks and hear something in them and tweek them to the way he likes them(sam sneed, daz, mailman and a bunch of others).dr dre is a better producer and engineer but quik is more versatile and creative and still keeps it DJ QUIK.quik will take a sound he made then twist it up and play with that shit in a song just to fuck with your brain.to me its not a fair fight its one man against a team.watching a friendly one on one beat battle between dr dre and dj quick with be epic.

^^ i cant agree with that...that battle will never happen cause with dre its never 1 on 1...he gonna need his 5 or 6 dudes ghost producing...

wouldnt be that epic either....a mid tempo piano beat everytime wont match quiks versatility...

im just sayin...

^^in that sense yes...but with the pressure on in that type of situation, i dont think dre stands a chance...maybe its just the side of me talkin that has just been so confused as of late with the dre obsession when i honestly see nothing special...idk...

I love classic Quik but this isn't even a close race unless Quik was bringing back some of that "Safe + Sound" "Rythymalism" or "Balance and Options"...

And you mothafuckas know it!

Detox is going to have way more features that I know I won't like: Jay-Z, Nas, 50, Drake, and I know there will be more. Can't wait for the new Quik, hands down.

^^^^ well most producers now and day in hip hop forget that soul still exsist in records to day and in fact they get have more longivity than all tha hard knoccning anthems.

and most of the hard knoccing anthems that get played the most has lil bits of soul either samples into it or interloped into the song somewhere.

quik fasho. while dre got classics under his belt, he's a waste of talent to me not coming out more often as quik. i would have liked to hear more from dre instead of waiting every 10-20 years for some shit...lol.

both good producers and talent equally tho.
