See what you need to do is go down to the beach and get you some sand. If you look at the left front of the zune at the bottom you will see a hole. Pour some sand into that hole and then hold the ^ arrow and the play button at the same time for exactly 14 seconds. That should fix your problem.

i've never had an issue with any of my 5 or 6 ipods...except they get stolen, or thrown out moving vehicles when the car flips over...

True. I got up for work @ 0245 this morning, let my battery drain on the drive over and the first couple hours of work, plugged it back in around 0600, as soon as it charged enough it connected and is working fine.
