I talk about them so much I figure I might as well make a thread for anyone else that cares. If anyone hasn't heard of them they're a progressive/prog metal band from upstate New York.

Anyways, it's for sure now.
3 is going on tour in support of The Scorpions on 11 dates in the US and Canada.

Sept 9: Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton, Alberta
Sept 10: Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary, Alberta
Sept 12: Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver, British Columbia
Sept 14: Konocti Harbor - Kelseyville, California
Sept 15: Gibson Amphitheater - Universal City, California
Sept 18: AVA Amphitheatre - Tuscon, Arizona
Sept 21: The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel - Las Vegas, Nevada
Sept 22: Grand Sierra Theatre - Reno, Nevada
Sept 26: Beacon Theater - New York, New York
Sept 28: Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford, Connecticut
Sept 29: Orpheum Theatre - Boston, Massachusetts


and then hopefully they'll be going out on another one with Porcupine Tree in October.

haha ya, sucks that Coheed took their style and got big off it.

Oh I meant to post this earlier too. From their myspace.

During our time off we went into Darkworld Studio with Dave Daw and Roman Klun to record a cover of "See Emily Play" for a Syd Barrett tribute album. We're very honored to be part of this special compilation and will share more information when it's been made available to us. In other news, "Wake Pig" has been featured in Henry Rollins' new movie, Wrong Turn 2, which was released on DVD today.

^ The song's on their newest album The End Is Begun. You'd like Wake Pig too, those two are their new more prog metal style. Their older stuff is more funk/jam band kinda stuff and they're great too.

Ya they're both from upstate NY, and 3 started out being Joey & Josh Eppard and Chris Bittner. Then Billy joined as lead guitarist and Josh left to drum for Coheed and Gartmann took over for him.
Claudio has said a couple times that 3 inspired him to make the music that Coheed does.
