Man why do the Giants play shitty against the Dodgers and then good against the Rockies at home?!?!?! SHIT DRIVES ME ISANE.

Anyways, they have cut the wild card lead down to 3.5 games with 18 games to go. lol I don't want to even think about it.

Lincecum has 4 more starts. I hope he wins them all. If he does he should get the CY Young again. And he can even beat his strikeout record.

Would Fielder be a fit by the bay?
11:58
AM ETPrince Fielder | Brewers | Interested: Giants? Top Email ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney speculated Monday on the possibility of Prince Fielder landing with the Red Sox. Buster spoke to some talent evaluators who were lukewarm to the idea, but those evaluators found another possibility even more intriguing: Fielder to the Giants for pitcher Matt Cain.

Buster says Fielder is a star slugger who would immediately help the Giants with their desperate need for offense and Cain is a star pitcher who would immediately give the Brewers an excellent 1-2 punch at the top of their rotation, teaming with Yovani Gallardo.

Buster Olney
Brewers now a "win now" franchise

"Milwaukee owner Mark Attanasio is developing a reputation for wanting to win -- as in, win now -- and swapping Fielder for a couple of prospects might not be as appealing as landing a frontline starting pitcher who will give the Brewers a real chance to contend in the next two seasons."

Baseball Prospectus
Would be hard to get this deal done

"The main issue in discussing the possibility of Prince joining the Panda by the Bay involves what the Giants would have to surrender to make such a move come to fruition. The Giants have a few top of the line, Kevin Goldstein certified Gold Prospects, but may be very hesitant to deal Madison Bumgarner or Buster Posey in any trade. To even consider it, the Giants would need to be certain they could lock Fielder up long-term. Does he help the Giants if acquired? That question should literally answer itself given the team's offensive ineptitude, but having just parted ways with Tim Alderson and counting on Posey as the catcher of the future, Brian Sabean may not want to deal away his top prospects, and color me skeptical that anyone outside of Lincecum, Cain and Sanchez on the major league roster would interest Doug Melvin in a potential Fielder deal." - Eric Seidman

Thoughts?

we have a good amount of infielders already and yeah timmy cain and penny 3 great pitchers wouldnt want to give him up for fielder
Can't deny Zito, people will always hate on him cause of the ridiculous amount of money he's gettin. But he has been solid this second half, hopefully he can stay on top of his game for the next couple of years.

id love to have prince and panda. 2 fat corners. but i wouldnt want to give up what it would probably take to get him.

there are more bats then there are arms. keep the arms and find other/cheaper bats to acquire. you never know, garko could get his shit together, ishi could, nate will probably improve, rowand was 300 until the 2nd half.

randy winn and bengie molinas lack of production was a big problem considering bochy constantly put them into rbi slots of the lineup.

we still have a slight chance this year but next year looks promising. a free agent might actually want to play for us.

Garko was a mistake, questioned it from the day that it went down. I have a friend from Cleveland and he was asking me, why would the Giants want ANOTHER 6-8 spot hitter in the lineup? They didn't give up much for him, but still.
