time to get Cain win #13 tonight

and i'd still rather the rockies beat the dodgers. i'm not mad at the rockies for accepting our offerings of those games; it was our(bochy) fault we lost.

^^^why do you want the rockeis to win??
if the dodgers take two out of three and we take two out of three from dbacks, we would be in good shape...we still got 6 against rockies at home...

wishful thinkin tho...rockies are wayyy wayyy deeper then us and beating them out for the wildcard will take a miracle...

Freddy Sanchez to the DL, Rohlinger up plus lineups

As expected, the Giants have placed second baseman Freddy Sanchez on the 15-day DL due to his shoulder strain. They have recalled infielder Ryan Rohlinger from Triple-A Fresno.

My first thought last night was the Giants would recall a reliever, after the bullpen pitched eight innings last night, but if Pablo Sandoval can't play they really need an infielder.

The team did not land at SFO until 3 a.m. after the 14-inning affair. Tonight, they get the last thing they need, Arizona's Dan Haren on the mound.

Tonight's lineup: Velez 2B, Renteria SS, Winn CF, Schierholtz RF, Lewis LF, Ishikawa 1B, Uribe 3B, Whiteside C, Cain P.
Rohlinger's 2009 stats: .281 AVG 16 HR 78 RBI

i dont even care about minor league numbers anymore unless we're talking pitching.. because clearly most of the position players called up havent produced shit, and we all know it doesnt translate into success right away (what we need)

velez is an exception after bouncing around from here to fresno back n fourth. And Schierholtz too.

53 AB- Downs
39 AB- Frandsen
33 AB- Bowker
15 AB- Guzman

Not enough playing time to make a decision about any of them, they never got the chance to adjust to MLB pitching (2 of those guys hadn't faced pitching above A-ball until this season and Frandsen hadn't played since 2007).

Schierholtz has no options left, otherwise I'm sure Sabean/Bochy would have given him 30 AB and then sent him to Fresno.

minor league stats are just that....minor league stats........pitchers work on new pitches..............hitters work on going the other way....up the middle.....average could go down 50-80 point just for working on things....

the other way around.............MiLB stats are just MiLB stats....meaningless for the most part.

James Loney batted .380 his last year in the minors (who whole year)......is he a .380 hitter???? hell no.......290-.310 is about right though

Kemp hit .350 in Vegas AAA.......will he hit .350 in LA??? no......

yall need to stop taking those AA-AAA stats from journeyman/low end prospects and think they will carry over to the Show............
