Torres strains left hamstring; DL possible
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Comcast SportsNet's Amy Gutierrez has reported that Andres Torres will be sidelined after re-injuring his left hamstring in tonight's 7-2 win over the Phillies.
It is being called a mild strain, with no timetable for return released yet. Torres already missed a month from April 27th to May 27th earlier this season with the same injury, and the Giants are hoping that he can return to the field quickly.
Torres led off the game with a bunt single and scored when Eugenio Velez hit a double to right. He pulled up lame after legging out a fly out in his second at bat.
