Sherman is a true role model. The man went to the top school in the state and graduated. He is living his dream in the NFL and a lot of young athletes and students should consider him as a role model if they don't have one.
This is football. It is dirty and dangerous and passionate. What was he supposed to do or say? The game was over, it was an emotionally charged situation, but what was he supposed to say? "We went out there and executed?" Hell no. He was supposed to say fuck that nigga Crabtree like he did.

What bothers me a lil is all the racist shit I see. People call Sherman a thug, a gangster. What has he ever said that was thuggish or gangster? He's well spoken. He speaks with passion and sometimes anger but that makes him a thug? And of course every article I read, YouTube video, always in the comments some "ghetto n*gger" type comments. Shows people's true colors I guess. Like it's a Damn game, not that serious people.

More than anything, the double standard bothers me. I hate that the NFL is a league full of college graduates, and rarely do we get interviews that sound like a dude even finished high school. Yet, when a minority who happens to be a college graduate gives an interview or statement that sounds like they have been educated, they are seen as "white" or an uncle Tom.
There were only 2 things that Sherman did that bothered me: He was all up in Crabtree's face talking crap I'm sure, and Crabtree pushed his facemask. Sherman immediately just looked for a flag from the ref. It was pretty brilliant in reality and there are some master's of this type of play, such as Reggie Miller, that are going to do anything to get in your head. It's just not my style personally. When I played sports, I would do that too but if some fool pushes my face, I'm more inclined to push him back. Sherman is smarter than me lol
Second, he ended the game for the 49ers. That's the only 2 things he did that bothered me. The rest is just part of the game and people are eating this crap up. If he wouldn't have done that, he might've been asked a few questions by the media, but now he is the focal point. Good for him.

I think the media is making a bigger deal about the Richard Sherman than anyone else is. They've made this front page news and have used it to overshadow the game which is too bad because the game met and exceeded expectations of all viewers. The media also makes it a point to grab players immediately after the game when they haven't even had a chance to breath. They wanted a statement like that from Richard Sherman and they got it. We're all living through a part of "Generation Me." It's all about twitter and posting what you eat on your instagram and short sound bites. In this case Richard Sherman is no better or worse than all of the idiot posters and commentators ripping him. We live in a society where for some time we are not even civil to one another.
It's Sherman's responsibility to take what he did and decide if he's learned from it or if he wants to do it again. He made the big play. He had his 5 minutes. That's what he did with it.
