The 14 Dodge Ram eco-diesels are rated @ 28mpg highway.
2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon: GM's New Benchmark Midsize Trucks - Forbes
the base engine for either truck is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that offers 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. This engine delivers 20 city mpg, 27 highway mpg and 22 mixed mpg in two-wheel drive form with a 6-speed automatic. The numbers drop to 19/25/21 for a four-wheel-drive version and 19/22/26 for a two-wheel-drive truck with the 6-speed manual transmission (the manual transmission only comes on extended cab Colorados in base or WT trim, or base trim Canyons). Those horsepower and torque numbers beat the competition from Nissan and Toyota by sizable margins while still matching them in overall fuel efficiency.
A similar story exists with the more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine offered in the Canyon and Colorado. This engine makes 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque while delivering 18 city mpg, 26 highway mpg and a mixed rating of 21 mpg in two-wheel-drive models and 17/24/20 mpg in four-wheel drive. A comparable 4.0-liter, V6-powered Toyota Tacoma with two-wheel drive offers 236 horsepower, 266 pound-feet of torque and 17/21/19 mpg.
I'll have to scrape up some info on the diesel my dude.
